Still kicking myself for selling my PP525.. IDIOT!!!!

Happy Holidays to everyone. I really enjoy Poulan Stickie. Great bunch of guys(haven't seen any gals on the site) with a lot of info. My 2013 resolution is to make a GTG, even if I have to drive the long distance.
Bob

I am going to make the drive some year. I have to get retired and moved first.

Back at ya Tim! Merry Christmas to you and your family. Same go's to all the rest of my Poulan family here. Been a number of new guys poke their head in here over the past year or so. Most just ask a question and move on. Then there are some like you, who stick around and make this thread a better, and more useful place. I probably forgot half of what I learned in here this past year:(, but hope to still be around for another year, and learn more. And to come up with an old Poulan that I wouldn't be ashamed to put on a shelf, next to one of Mark's!! :D

Gregg,

I hope you do too. Don't put it on his shelf though. Likely so many saws there you might never find it again. As for the thread, I think this thread has the best group of guys on the site so it's pretty easy to stick around. I don't think there's a group as large as this one who are as passionate about there saws and their hobby. Tons of fun!!

Tim

Yup.. i've got a few. Gregg does put on a good one and I'm bound and determined to get there someday.

You guys don't wait to long to attend a GTG. We aren't getting any younger ya know.:D I can see it now. We are all at a GTG with are nice big Poulans, and nobody can pull the starter ropes any more. :bang: Will have to make sure we have at least one young guy there, to start em for us. I guess Mike & Mark are still in that catagory, at least for a couple years yet.:ices_rofl:

Gregg,

Gregg,

We could ask Roger to weld up a pulley system from old saw parts. Hook her up to the dog and throw the bone.

Parts haul

I got a bunch of micro parts, s25da, etc today. Included are a burned up, but complete red 2.0 and a red starter for a 2.1 25da c-man saw. Grabbed them cause I thought someone could use them... A deal can be struck easily. (Unless I already owe you.... Hint hint.). ;)

I got a few other saws today too, but I got in trouble with the "look how cool I am for buying tons of chainsaws" post I put up. All the stihl guys had a feeding frenzy and I got in trouble for posting a for sale ad and lost 6 points... Whatever that means.

If you are into poulans and like great company. Ohiogregg puts on one heck of a gtg. :msp_thumbsup:

Bob

I heard through the grapevine that Bob has so many in fact. that he is not sure how many.

Finally completed

The chain was the last piece and I finally got to my dealer today. I posted the details in the main forum, but long of the short it is an NOS saw that had parts robbed off it, just like the 305 Mark got. Very happy to have found this one, and it was litterally 5 minutes from my house. Heres a bunch of pics for ya.

Very nice Joe on the 305, and I really like that 395 you have there sitting out front. Have you ever checked the weight on the power head only on it. someone was asking about one, and maybe you can show a picture of it again. Roger

Gregg,

Some mornings I'm not sure its even a couple years left.

Say what?

Chris B.

Yep I'm laughing!!!

Being 22 I will volunteer to be the official saw starter for you older gents.

Thanks kid, better practice up on some big ones, you should see Chris drop starting a Homelite 2100 with a 42" bar on it. Hell I seen em drop start my 71-A as well.

Actually we aint gents. We is geezers.

And damn near geezers. :hmm3grin2orange:

Got some saws laid out, were going to cut a couple down in the morning. First chance I have had in sometime and will have some help. Besides I need some logs here, as I hear I might have some saw buddies over next weekend and we need something to play on.

Nothing huge just a couple standing deads about 2' across.

Laid out the PP365 20", PP330 20", 3000 16" and a Husky 268XP 24".

You guys was asking me how the 365 and 330 compared and I dont think I ever ran them together before, so thats why I chose those two.

I almost grabbed the PP395 with a 24" on it but have not ran the 268 since I got it, so we will give it a go.

I know it will be cold in the AM but I hope the wind lays down at least.

Mark would probably know the weight, but the brakes on these are all mag with steel guards, I can definately feel the difference between my 4000 and 395 which both have the brakes and my 3.7 which has the plastic cover and no brake. But its not that bad.
