it is amazing how much saw dust can get into the fuel tank when the vent line is missing, clogging the carb screen and or filling up the diaphram area. I cleaned a Tillitson and walbro today that had me amazed at how dirty they were.
got another ra [pioneer] few weeks ago, same thing, plastic bowl on bottom full of dust, none got past screen tho. new diaphragms, fuel lines, runnin/cutting good now. $40. for it...ra2 001.JPG

With great admiration Roger, I knew you would be the first with a remote starter for your saws.
Remember that the cold will pull the wrinkles out of your face. Lying face down in the snow for an hour or so will knock 29 years off your apparent age.
Thanks for that great advice but I am afraid that I will have to pass on that.
The 3750 is gradualy coming together.

Geez Tim, If I spent couple hours face down in the snow, I'm afraid it would take more like my full 60 years off my life.

Have a great Thanksgiving Tim! But I guess you guys north of the border already had one! LOL

Gregg,

Thanks Tim and a Happy Thanksgiving to all.

I got desperate today and tired of the cold. So....

You know Roger its funny how different the color of a saw makes in its appearance. I just finished putting a new crankcase in PP380. They are the same saw, but look so different with one being green & one being gold. ;)

Gregg,

never seen a TA 3750, guessin they look like bigger wt?

Yes, They do look like a WildThing, but thats kinda what I like about them. People will laugh at them, then get surprised at how well they cut. I don't have a TA/BadBoy yet, but do have a super380, same saw and it works great. I wish Poulan had taken that design/model whatever you want to call it, a step further. Wish they would have made a 70+cc version. Then I guess you would have essentially a Husky 372xp. :D only better. At half the price!

Better than BoTox. But that looks to me more like a security system and entertainment upgrade than a remote starter.

Here's a bit of rather arcane information that might be useful to someone. I've got a 245A I'm resurrecting. Couldn't get it to idle, then noticed the idle screw was completely gone. No wonder it won't stay running!
So, I start looking around for a replacement. I've got several small micro type Poulans and Craftsmans lying around in various stages of disassembly. So I take the carb off a Craftsman 2.0 Powersharp and unscrew the idle adjustment screw. Turns out it fits perfectly in the Tillotson HS59A on the 245A. Cool!!!:blob2:
