Thought I would run my 3300 this morning. Heard a weird sound and decided to investigate. Found that the flywheel side crank bearing was making the noise. Split case and while the bearing looked okay it was turning very slowly and roughly. Ordered new bearings and seals. Heated the case halves and the bearings popped right out. Looks like I can reassemble the halves with sealant like the 3400 series as there is no gasket. Gives me something to do.

Are the intake parts of a 4620 interchangeable with the ones from a Husqvarna 142?

Couldn't see a manuf. mark on them. I know the 3400's are Torrington. Price was similar to the Torrington's I picked up so I'm okay with them.

I see in the pile-o-parts a cover for a 7700. I've never heard of that one. Is it just a lesser 8500?

Aaawwww, you fixed it. I liked the "puff saw" thing. I figured it was a spell check error, though - I knew what you meant.

Oooh, ok.... I'll disregard the clutches....
Let's see.... clutch and filter covers.... I see some 3400s, 250s, the 7700, some Poulan Pros (sorry - I don't really keep up with those).... the two in the bottom right I don't recognize.

Rare... you mean as in "hard to get" or "I've never seen them before"? I've never seen the 7700, so that gets my vote.

I'd be guessing the 7700 clutch cover because it has the label on it.

There is a little bit of everything there.
The yellow crankcase is for a Poulan 260 or 295.
There is a lot of 3400 parts.
Clutch cover for a 335
Some parts for the micro series of saws.

There were several posts about making hats, from a few people. Whatever happened to those projects?
