Gary, can you paint the one you have the correct color? Also what is the difference? what did the one you have come on originally?

1 could not find the top cover or air filter for the saw. The recoil was off of it and buried under some stuff on a bench. The bar was hanging on the wall. The 4900's had a top cover that was more of an olive color and did not match the body of the saw. I may have a picture of a crushed one I sent to a member here several years ago.

I found this picture of the crushed 4900 I had. You can see the difference in color of the top cover compared to the rest of the saw.

yes it is. It is the only one I have ever seen. I had an incredible day. On my way to pick up the Partner I found the 2 little saws at a yard sale for $2 each, the lady finally returned my call on the 375 for her CL listing after 2 weeks of trying to contact her. And I bought a Kennedy box full of tools that same day. I have less than $200 in the 4 saws and the box of tools. It was like winning the lottery. I was out of work and had little money to spend but couldn't pass these up even if it meant going hungry.View attachment 340676 View attachment 340677 View attachment 340678 View attachment 340679 View attachment 340680 View attachment 340681 View attachment 340682 View attachment 340683 View attachment 340684 View attachment 340685
Wow nice stuff I was thinking the other day a guy ought to keep $100.00 just for this kind of unexpected find. Good Job Jeff

I saw my very first bow saw where I bought the poulan 3000 the other day. The fella had it on a 306a it had the green paint still on it from when he bought it. He was from Virginia and said they were real common there when he moved up here. He took it outside and started it up .... I wanted so bad to try it but I didn't ask. I did however tell him if he ever sold it I would like a chance to buy it. I left there and headed for a guy who supposedly has some old Mac's and a Wright I really wanted to get that Wright and I expected to have it by now. When I get there it is a 1970's trailer back in the woods, all the windows covered in cardboard and 3 large dogs going nuts inside. I banged on the door for almost 5 min but he never came out, oh well I will have to try again later this spring. Maybe I can catch him in between crops ha ha. Jeff

PP 365 complete
Got this ne on ebay a couple months ago. Dirty, great compression, perfect p/c. Finally got to it tore it down, cleaned and checked it out. rebuilt the HDA 49, new lines, pulse, fuel and vent; filters, plug. The 3/8" rim was in good shape so it stayed. I think this saw was parked due to a severly clogged fuel inlet tube in the carb. even after a few cyles in the USC i still had to bore it out.
Put the b/c off a PP330 for testing. Runs very strong and tears your fingers pulling it over.
