Got a couple more Poulans the last few days, here is the later model 306SA that arrived. (thanks for the help Mike! ) This one will probably get a resto job as its a later electronic ign, tin muffler manual decomp saw. The P/C are in good shape on it.

I might be looking for the original roller bar and a .325pitch baracuda chain for it. It came stock with a .325 X 9 rim sprocket on it.

Very nice Mark. Is that decomp similar to the Dayton setup?

The other one, a 203

Here is the other one that arrived, it is a Poulan 203. I don't know about these 200 series that much, they were never around here.

What I do know is that I have been chasing IPLs and manuals for this series and have not found any. Acres list this a a 1968-70 3.6ci saw meaning that it is pre 306A.

As you can tell its a Power sharp version and the roller nosed bar was lost in shipping.. :censored:

Things I can tell quickly that is differerent is that it has a 2 shoe clutch, the off switch is in the throttle lock, fuel cap is different and it uses a HS58A carb which is smaller then the HS59A thats used on the 306/245.

The P/C look excellent so I'll get this one up and running when I get time. I have a original Poulan 17" hard nosed bar that will fit the theme well with this one to use for now.

That starter rope/handle looks like some of mine! Are you gonna replace that muffler with a cast one? I was wondering if someone still makes the cast mufflers or do you have to scrounge around for a good used one?

No that muffler is solid as a rock and it will stay. The cast mufflers will probably have to be scrounged, but there much easier to find in good shape anyway.

I am looking for several of the original Poulan starter handles in good shape.

That starter is exactly how my last 10 saws looked when I received them. I've had to hunt for starter handles for all of them. On the smaller saws I've used the handles off some old Weedeaters. They look about the same.

Model 25

Shes old and dirty, but shell be a runner. Good comp, clean internals. No spark but im thinkn either that switch or dirty points. I have never seen so much cat hair in a saw in my life. Also Im thinkin this one spent its life in commercial duty. It couldnt have been dirtier! This is the oldest one Ive come across. Just says POULAN model 25.
