I love Stihls. They finance my old magnesium habit.
Although I own a nice running 026 amongst a few others in the "flagship" brand of these parts, they mostly sit on the shelf.
Nice saws for the most part. But not nearly as fun as running a $25 3000 and lapping the rubbernecking Kool-Aid drinkers at the charity wood cutting events.

The saw itself is obviously not the problem.
Why would you say that it's broke all over

For sure wrong gasket. Luckily I'm very familiar with the HDB carbs and notice if a gasket is incorrect. However on other saws I always keep the old gaskets as a guide and hope someone didn't screw up the rebuild using a wrong gasket ,etc.
Just replace them, looked like what's left of a spring mount

So it be worth buying and putting some parts on it , iam just cautious I have had issues with 026 and 261 stihl iam just thinking it be nice have a back up big saw for work and fire wood

I have a 441 and it runs great. Not sure how it compares to an 044 but good enough for me. If ur P&C are good I'd fix it. Then we can get back to Poulan talk lol.

Just busting ur stones a bit. All in good fun. Probably get more informed input by posting in the regular forum. Not sure if there is a Stihl Stickie, though. Never looked
Well it might help us if we knew how much the guy wants and what else's is damaged.
