What is funny is I offered him the most and he blocked me. I only did it to see if he was for real. He is obviously surfing

This Craftsman saw on eBay caught my eye. The design appears to be new...at least to me.

Which led me to the Sears website to check the full model #, which indicates it is a Poulan.

Which led me to the official Poulan website, which keeps giving me an error message when I click on specific models.

So am I way behind on new Poulan models, or is this a fairly new design?

The saw looks like a couple other saws out there, Husqvarna 240 and Jonsered cs2238 s. There is a tag on the Craftsman just above the oil cap. Jonsered have their tags in the same place. The orange saw also has an indent for a tag in the same place. All of the new Poulans have primers but sit much lower. Just from looking I would say that all 3 of the first saws are most likely the same with cosmetic differences and have nothing to do with Poulan.

Looking at IPL's, I did cross ref and search of the flywheels and they are all the same. The Craftsman even comes up "by Husqvarna".

Santa Bob stopped by my office today:) How did he know!?

Already have a new decal for the clutch cover at home that I picked up on ebay for $2.50. It was cheap so I figured why not. Thanks again Bob!

I have one just like that and it is just about my favorite saw, such a screamer!

You could copy and paste your previous post as a new one with an explanation and the desired corrections..., maybe even highlighted for additional clarification.
Yes that's about the best one can do here without the kind of changes I was suggesting and that others have probably already thought about.
That leads to a massive data explosion as people quote the quote that quotes the quote that quoted the quote.
Also it's a nightmare to search and get to a bottom line quickly.
With the topic-based approach the bottom line is usually the final response in the thread. A quick scan up and down the thread rapidly confirms that and gets you the info you need without pulling teeth and without having to ask anyone and hope for an answer. Fairly basic data-management concepts.
I wonder how many times the same question gets asked and answered here... (hopefully with the same answer)... I'm guessing it happens a lot.
Anyway.. thanks for the suggestion. No point kicking a dead horse.

That's a McCulloch CS380, new model has tooless chain adjuster, notice that hole under the bottom of the handle, screwrench holder.

Thank for the info!

The Craftsman in the link uses the 358. prefix in the model number, which usually (there has been at least one mistake) indicates Poulan. I don't really follow new Craftsman & Poulan models unless one happens to catch my eye. I'm not sure why I keep getting the error message on the Poulan Pro website, I'd really like to see the "new" models; I'll keep trying. There have been previous complaints about the PP site not keeping up with their new products.

I just saw this ^ response after I posted.

So the Craftsman 358. prefix in the model number that usually indicates Poulan is a mistake?

Or is Husqvarna starting to bring McCulloch models into the US market? It's been my understanding the 'new' Mac saws are MIC and were limited to certain European markets.

I would not want to see Chinese made Mac saws muddying the waters with Poulan models, especially since many Poulan models are re-badged for other companies, namely Craftsman.

Was going thru my carb kit drawer looking for a Wt kit and what did I find? A nos diaphragm for a S25 oil pump.! Was probably there for two years and I never saw it. Talk about organized.
I like when stuff like that happens it's a bonus
