If I had a vintage saw that clean I'd probably put it with my treasures in the house

Yeah those 2 are new and never run..

The one I sold that he posted was new as well. That was till he had me fire it up before I sent it out. No biggie, they were made to be used.

Here's the nice one I picked up from Mark a while ago. These are my favorite small saws. View attachment 471425View attachment 471426
Do you S 25 da or cva owners have issues with the clutch moving the chain at idle. I sure do. Seems to me that the brass er.or copper bearing on the sprocket causes enough friction so the chain moves. When the saw is off or cold the sprocket freely spins but when warm or idling it's much tight

If your having problems with that, take it off, clean it up good and put it back together with just a drop of oil on the bronze bushing.

The only problem I have had with the bronze bushings was when you put grease on them.

Piston Ring Sizes for Poulan Saws (34cc versus 38cc) 25DA versus S25, S25AV, S25CVA, S25DA

I recently became confused trying to figure out which piston rings to buy for a Wright 122 saw.

The problem comes from the fact that there are TWO different cylinder sizes 34cc and 38cc.
At first glance, the model names look very similar - they have "Poulan" and "25" in them - that's the confusing part.

I ended buying BOTH sizes. If you make that mistake on cylinders or pistons.. it becomes expensive very quickly.

To save the next person a lot of searching and thrashing, these are the results.
I have also attached a picture showing the rings side by side.

It is important to realize that 25DA and S25DA are different sizes!! Easy for a newbie to miss!!

34cc - Wright 122 , Poulan 25DA (notice there is NOT an "S" here)
Ring Part # 530023352 - Cylinder Volume: 34cc (2.1cu.in) - Bore: 36.5mm (1.4375in)

655 / 525. What is better to use to reinstall the tank divider? Hondabond or JB weld?

Guys I'm in the process of rebuilding a 33 supper. Anyone got any videos of one cutting wood? I looked all over and have not found any.

How did you get in there to use a dremel?
Total rebuild. Split the case for bearings and seals.

Looks to me that Pioneer installed the divider before paint but when Poulan took over put it in after paint. A bad choice IMO.

There is just enuff room to drill/tap for a pair of #4-40 screws for insurance if one so desired.

This Craftsman saw on eBay caught my eye. The design appears to be new...at least to me.

Which led me to the Sears website to check the full model #, which indicates it is a Poulan.

Which led me to the official Poulan website, which keeps giving me an error message when I click on specific models.

So am I way behind on new Poulan models, or is this a fairly new design?
