Just got done on one of my micro's, got to replace oil line, all of my tank pressure is going past the line at the bar mount, likely done got hard and drawed up.

Ok. Metering valve wont hold vacuum so guess its good. What are using for the oil output line. Someone used tygon in mine. It looks okay . Would it be possible to loose that much vacuum if it wasnt a tight fit?

I have the filter soaking in some cleaner I use at work to clean carbon from engine combustion chambers and to clean carbs and throttle bodies, just hoping it would dissolve the stuff that's in it. If not, I may look at some Husky or Echo vent filters, that will fit in the air box.

Once that pump is as done as you're gonna get it, it does take some time for it to prime and start delivering oil (as you may already know). Don't give up on it too soon thinking it's not working right. Learned that the hard way with the first one I worked on in a SkilSaw 1622. Had it back out and back in a couple times before reading a tip somewhere (probably here) about just letting it run for a while to get it primed. Finally started oiling after being patient with it for a few minutes.

Hi, working on my 4000 and I need a close up picture of the pump diaphragm cuz I'm making one and I don't want to pull the pump apart to see what holes I need to punch, using the gasket as a template
Unfortunately, I don’t have one sitting around. I typically remove the diaphragm from the pump and use that as the template.

Here are some

You ever have one of those weeks! Putting together a 4000 and a 3400. These are driving me to open a bottle of Jack. Replaced seals, no leaks. Rebuilt carbs. The 4000 runs but won’t stay running and the 3400 won’t start. Wonder if the carbs are shot. Pulled carbs and they hold pressure and closing the lo and hi pressure will drop slightly when I depress the metering diaphragm. So they seem okay. May have to start over from scratch. Gotta be something simple.

Figured you would have some.

I am working on them right now, the bottom ones are NOS PUMPS, that I put together with all new parts, it’s getting tough to find the enteral parts now, retainer ring, washer & spring to name a few

No vacuum at all. Needle returns to zero immediately. Assume that’s what you want.
Sounds like that working correctly, replace the line and see what you have. Line should be a snug fit in the discharge hole at the bar, if not it won't pump. All the pressure will go around the line, not forcing oil through the pump (metering valve).
