I've never seen a sand cast saw in person before. I'm still a green horn on chainsaws. I used to be into guns but that got expensive, but still have some old ones.

A wall hanger gift from my local shop . 20" hardnose probly hang a worn out chain on it for the complete look.
Don't disgrace that bar with a worn out chain, buy a cheap chain and put on it. It is nice looking.

Ok anyone have a answer , HDB 8, a,b,c what is the difference in these walbro abc models, they look the same
Have a look at the attached file. Set up for different saws, different manufacturers. Some have chokes, some don't. Different venturi sizes.
I've never heard of a, b, c series.

Well they could be, but they are mouth wash cups from the bathroom sitting on a puppy pee pad, pads are great for working on the saws and cheap 17x17
I would think those are cavity numbers in he die casting tool. Most cavities are marked as the are all ejected at once into a container. It helps to be able to isolate any problem parts to a specific mold cavity.
Picked this old dirty one up today. I used to have the exact same one, even the same year 1988. Compression is good but I haven't put a gauge on it yet. All looks happy through the muffler and while it is dirty there are few scratches. I'll look the number up but I'm almost positive it's a 2800 clone 46cc.
Looks like just my 2.8 Craftsman, mine says 2.8 18 on the starter cover if I'm not mistaken.
Just noticed it' got the same stinking safety chain also. I have a new old stock chain in the box a got from Sears over 30 years ago, I looked for it last weekend at the farm but didn't find it.
