I've watched my dad in my younger years, drop may trees with his homie sxl12 auto, old blue. I've done it a few times myself in my younger days, but not now, just bucking only for me. Pulp wood was big around here when I was growing up.

If the dogs were to some how slip off the log, there's nothing to stop the bow coming up, be like a kick back from a straight bar but to me it would be worst. I'm thinking about putting a full top guard on mine to help protect me better just encase.

I do like running my, saves my back when the wood is on the ground, if we use the grapples on the bobcat, then it's not so bad cause it's at the right height for me to cut, then I'll swap out to a straight bar.
