Emailed a guy on ebay about a 5200 he has but isn't listed, he told if I'm interested he wants $350 + shipping, does this seem like a bit much???

Depends on condition.

I may have one up for sale soon, but its in very good condition and I wouldn't take less then that for mine. Not sure I would go that low.

Make damn sure if you buy one that the P/C are good. Anything else can useally be fixed. Recoils and parts are getting scarce as well.

Been working on a couple projects, got this 306SA tore all apart, doing a resto on it. The P/C and crank are great so I'm not touching that. Its getting new seals, lines, gaskets etc and a new paint and decal job.

Going to be putting the complete power sharp setup on it for old times sake. Anyone got a Power Sharp stone laying around? I thougth I had a good one but I guess I don't.

I also have the early model 5200 about ready for paint.

Looks good Gregg. Would you mind sharing where you got the bar? I'd like to get a nice 14" for my S25.

BTW, anyone have a good fuel cap for a S25DA? Is there not a nipple to put the duckbill valve on? Mine appears to be broken.

Thanks Brad, The bar is one I just ran across on the Bay, probably a year or so ago. Purely by luck. I see Mark answered the duckbill question.:)

Gregg,

Can anybody ID this craftsman/poulan? I'm thinking a 365?

Looks like a Poulan 2700, 2800, 3000, 3100, or 3300. Just need to identify the bore size as it falls in that category of split crank case saws.

Hey guys, I finally got around to rebuilding my Wild Thing, I ported the cylinder and got a 2375 muffler (mine is the 2375LE) I welded a 1/2" EMT pipe to the side and left the rear openings untouched, this uses a WT662 carb, seems awfully small for 42cc engine. Anyway after a finiky start I got her running well, and damn this thing has a lot of power.

Does anyone know if there is a better carburator for this?? Would I be better off getting the older WT324 model carb that came on the 2375??? The WT662 seems to be a finiky carburetor to set.

Hey Mark, just thought of somthing, this Wildthing I was working on today has the double barb fitting, and looks very similar to the 3400-4000 series saws, the PN from the 2375 IPL is 530023877.

Yes its definetly a 54cc saw or smaller.

I'm no expert on these, but the main thing is to find the same series of carb that has a bigger venturi. I used on off of a Homelite CS-50 on my 2500 but had to change all the shafts around to make it fit.

Thanks, I got that written down, I'm going to try to order a bunch.

Nice score. I like that line of saws a lot right now I have 2. One is identical to yours and according to sears online its a 2.8. Mine has a chrome bore, though most had chrome pistons. I also have a 3.3. The 2.8 has an 18'' bar and .325 and it pulls it very well.

I just picked up two 3300's. Supposedly can make one good saw out of it. We'll see when it arrives.
