A 245A will pull a 28" just fine if thats what you really want. Just for reference, here is a 28" at Baileys.

Bailey's - Oregon 28" Power Match Chainsaw Bar 92 Drive Link

A 24" can be found here.

Bailey's - Oregon 24" Power Match Chainsaw Bar 81 Drive Links

The one Brian listed has a 3/8's bar slot and will need a stud spacer to work properly.

I also wouldn't buy anything from that seller, I had bad luck with him before for not listing things right.

The D176 mount is basically the only one that will fit properly without stud spacers or such.

Sweet. You all make this too easy. Now if we could just find a truck load of NOS parts for these saws that would be great.

That blows.

I didn't think you could do that if it had bids on it, unless it was stated in the auction...

Against the rules and not ethical but thats that. O well on to the next.................

It may fit, but it's too big for the 245... according to Mike Acres site. As I mentioned in the last entry. Thanks for passing it along though.

Yea, that would be stretching it a bit for the 245. Not that it won't pull it, but it would be a nose heavy son of a gun.:D Most folks I think use a 20". Mine with the 24" is a little nose heavy, but pulls it great!!!

I have not come across one, but I think years ago they came with 17" 21" 25" bars also.

Gregg,

Carb/air filter cover for Tophandle

Anyone have a carb/air filter cover for a Craftsman 358.355162 1.8 cu in tophandle.

Have a good runner from the pile and that's the only thing missing.

Sears gets $12 plus shipping and I don't think it comes with the choke knob or the screws etc..

Have lots of 2150(ish) parts or a junk Craftsman 355.355061 powerhead (missing the cover, natch) to trade.

Mitch, tell me what you think of that one when you get under the hood. I think there pretty well built actually. Chrome bore, swedish cranks etc. The lower engine pan bolts dont go through the plastic case either, theres a seperate flange that bolts it in.

Isn't that a green version of the PP 295?

So far I'm impressed, yes I see how the engine is mounted and I prefer this design to most clams. Working on the oiler now. Obstructed oriface, oiler design is better than most with a metal worm. Also would note that the timing is very aggressive as it has ripped the handle out of my hand several times already. Really have to commit for a small saw.

What do you think.......can I make a 346 killer out of it?

Well its only 46cc, so I don't know. Maybe, but a bigger carb might help.

Seems some of those models did have a little oiler trouble, but the newer replacements are white instead of black and seem to hold up well. I seal them up to the case with silicone to keep crap out of them.

Nitrogen bottle.... Only way I can think of would be welding up the piston. But I dont think that would do it.

Well at this point, the 2150 is much stronger. Not sure how long it will hold together though.

I need to get a new oiler for the 2900 and some real chain. If the weather holds I will get some vid comparing the two.

Has been a two poulan purchase day, just need to find time to pick up the other two.:waiting:
