I was gonna send this CVA to Brad, then I went thu it and found it had low compression, and a broken ring. The fuel line needs to be replaced and one of the av's is toast. I cant send a saw like that so I decided to rebuild it. Hopefully the cyl isnt scored, the piston looks good through the port. Im gonna tear it down and give it the works. I am ordering rings and I have a gasket/seal set for it. Whats weird is I used this saw 2 months ago and it ran great I cut a bunch of maple with it.

Its amazing how things like that happen. I'm sure you'll get it starightened out Joe.

Updated Poulan family portrait

After seeing Gregg's pictures, I decided to drag out the Poulan saws that I have here at the house for a picture. I thought it only fitting to give the elder generation a group shot of their own.

Here are the rest that I found. After taking all the pictures I discovered a Craftsman 1.9 in the corner I overlooked. Also missing are two 3400's that are torn down, a yellow S25DA that is also in pieces as well as a Wizard (western Auto) 3400 and my 405 bow saw that I have moved to my place in the country.

Lmao!!!!

guido very nice fleet now i can showmy wife im not the only person who has this lil problem of CAD!:msp_flapper:

You guys posting those Poulan family photos are sick, who would want or need that many old Poulans. :hmm3grin2orange:

Sad part is after you guys posted them I got to thinking how many I had and I couldn't remember so I had to go and count them. I think the damn things are mulitplying out there.:bang:

Are you complaining? Have you had the talk with them? Maybe you should get separate quarters for them, as them girly Huskys swoon when those manly Poulans rev by.

Guido Salvage, Looking at the saw at the bottom middle of picture, looks to be a 361, Has the same "limp starter handle" as my 361, LOL I think mine needs a new spring, just havn't felt compelled to fix it yet.

The good thing about your Poulans multiplying out in the shop. Is yours have some mighty fine looking offspring!!!:msp_love:
Gregg,

I saw that one but resisted because I already have one.

I couldn't resist this one though. The clutch cover and muffler are just way cool,
it is a 361 that needs a little work...

I agree, They are interesting saws. They kinda look like the link between old time saws, and modern ones. They sound good too. I wish they had auto oilers on em though.

Gregg,

I bought that saw in 1979 (the owner had bought a pair in 1972) and it was my firewood saw until I bought my first 3400 4-5 years later. Not running now, I think that the spring is broken but I recall finding one for it not too long ago. One think I find interesting is the differences in color on some of my 306s and 361s.

Yeah I've seen some Lime Green 361s, I assume they are later models?? The one I have is the yellowy green. Also I noticed these saws have really big Tilly HS carbs on them??

I can guarantee you this!

If that saw is coming from BillG, it will be EXACTLY like he said it was, or better!
He is a good guy and knows saws.
You just don't want to be his "Roadie" for a GTG!!!LOL
