330, 365, 380, 3350, 3450, 3500, 3600, 3650, 3750 all take an A041 mount. All run the grown up 3/8's chain. I was mistaken in my answer above, 3400/3700 do take a D176. That said, a D196 mount with a spacer, a D276 mount with an oiler hole drilled will also work. Yes, the smaller Poulans as well as many other saws run the A041 will the low-pro chain. The millers on the site, as well as a few carvers, will tell that the chain can be interchanged with various degrees of success.
Put a new oiler on a 295 today and it still leaks bad. The replacement oiler was 530014410 and was the white plastic one. Any other ides as to where this thing is pouring oil out? Gonna have to order a new tank hose I guess.
Well boys I recently got 7 saws. 4 poulans in the haul. One later model s25da, 2 3400s and a dayton 245a. I really wNted a later model s25 and this one fit the bill. It's the newt style like my dads solid state ign and good compression. Should just need a cleaning and fuel system work. The 2 3400s ran on a prime, both 120 psi both nice Windsor bars. One is a low hour saw in real nice shape. The Dayton I haven't gotten yet but I'm pretty excited about it. Will post pics later. Also I called my shop about rings for my cva and they are nla from poulan
can someone clean a cylinder up for me? it's for a poulan 4218av but i was goin to try but i got to thinkin i might mess it up to bad to use it again.so can someone help me and let me know how much you would charge to do it.and i got a other question can you port these as well?and not mess with the timing all that much?
Joe that sounds great if it really happend. You know there are no pictures. :msp_laugh:
What were the other 3?
Mark,
Just got bearings, seals, thrust washers, and sprocket ordered for this old saw. Ordered from SEPW.com, always have good luck with them.
I think this one will be painted the PP yellow color, always did like that better than the lime green.
This is the saw that I've been gathering a bunch of NOS parts including a new jug, nearly new piston, oiler, antivibe isolators, and a slew of other stuff.
Sounds good Barney. Ill be checkin that site too

You know me id never BS about saws! The pics are loading as we speak and like I said I dont have the big dayton yet. The other 3 werent bad either. I got a doctor owned 021 that has about 10 minutes on it by the look of it, an homie 360 thats nothing special but it popped with a prime too and a nice white top 61 rancher, no spark on that one tho. The 2 3400s and the S25 were what I made the trip for and it was worth it.
Well it all sounds good and its your saw paint it what ever color you like, but I'll take mine lime green! Still cannot wait to see it.
You know I was just busting your chops.
Everything sound good but I would have left the 021 there! I would rather have a Wildthing then that but I suppose someone will pay decent money for that name.
I love my 021 saw they are not high powered but super dependable i have 2 now i think its a real decent light weight saw !
Here's a deep, important technical question for you Poulan gurus...:msp_lol:
The red Craftsman 2.1A/Poulan 25DA that Mark sent me is missing the black rubber rear handle insert. The Poulan # I pulled from a 25DA IPL is 23368. The # for the grip insert that I get from the Sears parts website for my saw (358.350940) is 23493 (minus the 5300 Sears prefix). They list it as a manufacturer authorized substitue.............and want too much moolah for it.
Is the part in fact the same for both a 'regular' 25 series saw and the Sears versions? I know there have been a few different versions of the 25 handles, with the Sears units possibly being unique. I've seen 'steeply curved' 25 handles, as well as the straighter CVA handles. The Sears handle seems similar to what I've seen on some late S25DA's and the PP black/yellow versions of these saws. The curve of the handle could affect the profile of the ends of the grip insert, as well as its length and other dimentions. Or...................it could be the same dang part for all of 'em. It's a minor thing really. I can of course run the saw without a grip insert until I get one from a parted saw on feebay or Scott or somewhere...
