None, no problem at all as a matter of fact! :givebeer:

I don't dial 911......I dial 1911

Combat commander version here.

Better over than under gunned anyway ! :)
that was a nice little 18in northern oak,..
surprised nobody noticed the stump ?
i figured i had the power i could play with the fall :)
was going to bore cut but decided to try to make it spin and walk a bit just for fun...leaving all that hinge i dint think it was ever going to go over !
got it to pop off the stump so far it dont even show in the pic..
brot along a 3400 but forgot it had a safety chain on it :( that was NO fun at all !!

No I dont give falling tips. (for good reason) Its your tree, you drop it however you want to.

Got the 4900 tore down today and was somewhat dissapointed.

I dont know how it pumped out the compression that it did as it had lost a piston pin keeper and left 2 bad ass groves in the cyl.:bang: So I had made up my mind before that this saw's cases were too badly corroded to save but now its definatly just parts.

Believe it or not the piston is still good and I got lots of good parts off of it, ignition, clutch, rim, drum, carb, muffler, oiler etc.

Too bad I wont be able to make the 4200 I just got into a 77cc one with that P/C from the 4900 though...

Let's talk about this before you make any decisions!!!

Guys, need a little help here. I've got a good customer of my day job and brought me a Sears gray 3400 and wants it rebuilt (has 110 psi and won't stay running). I got to digging in my spare poulan cylinder/piston box and found a nearly new thin ring 3700 cylinder assy. My question is what is it worth, is it rare, and would you use it for sorta a BIL deal?

I have no idea what the slug and jug came off of but it does look almost brand new. With just a little port clean up it should be a screamer.

He would have to be a mighty good customer for me to give up a good 3700 jug and piston!

Tough call Randy. I wouldnt say rare, but a good 3700 P/C might be hard to find if you ever want another one for yourself.

As for price, I aint going there...

I've got a little contest going on in http://www.arboristsite.com/off-topic-forum/128850-2809.htm#post3012175 on the root cause of this one...

A good used 3700 jug and slug is worth more than a good running 3700 will bring.
I wouldn't take a nickel less than $100.00 for one like you describe. (With a few exceptions of some folks right here who like them as much as I do)

What in the world is going on...yesterday I could get my pictures to show up and today I can't. I managed to figure it out after the last "upgrade thanks in no part to any instructions, but today I am at a loss. Nothing I do seems to work. Any suggestions other than to go away and not worry about it?:confused:

The Dr prescribes a glass of good bourbon and a good night's sleep ..... I will give my best attempt to post instrs 2morrow .....

Man that blows. I've been pretty lucky with fleabay so far. Only had one turd like that so far. Took THREE MONTHS of back and forth with the seller to finally get things somewhat resolved. The 'junk flipper' types that buy crap on CL and yard sales for fleabay resale (without knowing jack about it......or caring to) are the worst.

Turns out the seller was a standup guy, I contacted him and politely asked him about the saw's history and thanked him for the fast shipment, and he offered a $50 refund. :msp_thumbup: Told me it was part of an estate and he had no info on it, ended up costing me 42$ shipped.

Tastes better now..

as soon as I figure out how I got it to work I will write it down and try to make it understandible.....:msp_unsure:

if I can make it work again

LOL, That would be great! Speak real s-l-o-w. Some of us old timers just hate change. As soon as ya get something figured out, they go and change it on ya.:(

Good deal. Glad it worked out. In my case, the guy eventually gave me a partial refund...........to where my total outlay was just above what I'd pay for a parts saw (and that's all the saw I got from him was good for)...
