Don't go trying to pull that BS around here!
We all know the only thing NORTH about you, is your address......................and THAT may be just temporary!!!

The proper way to pronounce Poulan is PO (rhymes with so) lan (land with no D). The first syllable is hard (emphasis) and the second syllable is soft. Yes, I did meet Mr. Poulan and regularly saw his younger brother here on a professional basis.

Trying to simplify with keeping my chains in order. I have a Husky Rancher running a 3/8 72 link chain, and a C-man 3800, and PP 330 running 3/8 70 link chain. Can I switch over my 3800 and 330 to run the Husky bar and 72 link chain? Or would it be better to run the Poulan (70 link) bars on my Husky? It seems like the 3/8 72 link chains are easier to come by so I leaning towards that switch if possible.
Boy, we Aussies have it wrong. The fallers who used them here in the NE of Victoria in the 70's and 80's called them Purr-lans with the emphasis on the purr. I still say it that way - silly me.
Hey, do you think this is an 8500? My boy picks it up tomorrow and I won't see it for a week or two - but I have my fingers crossed.
Al.
Mustang, thanks for that info. I asked the old guy what model it was on the phone and he said he did not know but he read out the seriel number and it ended in 8500-3. That is why I am hoping!

Whichever of the three it turns out to be...I would be tickled! I hgot a chance to run 67Mustangs 7700, and it ain't no slouch...:msp_thumbsup: In either case, it will be a dandy hard to come by Purrr-lan.

Thanks fellows, I probably used up all my luck buying my 4900 when it was advertised as a 49cc saw. Anyway the seller says it is a good goer so perhaps I have a little karma left. Can't blame a man for
dreaming.

But then he would have to learn to talk funny... Like you, Steve, and I assume Randy, never met him..LOL
