There is a nice old grey poo(4000 ?) on the Albany CL. I posted in the ebay/cl link.
somebody go get it.

And the Stihlheads look down their noses at our lowly Wildthing!!!:dizzy:
As Buggs Bunny would say..."What a bunch of maroons"!LOL

Mike

Doesn't take a Stihlhead to do that. Takes anyone that wants a real saw, reguardless of brand. Modern Poulans, Macs, and Homelites are all an insult to the saws the same brands built a couple decades ago. IMHO, their only purpose is for those that truely can't afford a real saw, or only needs to trim a rose bush or two:taped::jester: In those cases, the will get the job done, for a while.

Guys, I think I positively identified my Poulan (which now is my favorite Poulan so far...) it looks like a 3100... the pic in Arce's site is exactly what mine looks like, except mine is dirtier than a red light dist... never mind. You get the idea.

Model Profile: 3100

I will see if I can find the stamp on the top of the cylinder... that should tell us more.

Yy

Could also be a 3000. Same size at 49cc.

I'll say this again real slow....M E A S U R E T H E B O R E, that is the only way.

I'm having withdrawals today. I gave a saw to my BIL yesterday. He needed something bigger than the cheesy little plastic Stihl 021 he has to cut firewood with. After careful consideration, weighing his needs against my inventory of saws, I gave him my 3400 with a 20" bar. It is a very dependable and powerful saw that will serve him well if he takes care of it. Yeah I know....but he's out of work....and well....

I've always volunteered to cut wood for my BIL rather than loaning him a saw..I remember how my shovel came back after loaning it to him, he backed over it with his car! He was nice enough to tape the handle on it though.

Well I think you missed his whole point about a 021 being on the same level as the Wildthing.

Your bruised ego messed you up there. :ices_rofl:
