that was that poulan deluxe huh!!!! no man thats BS i saw that saw and was like 30 bucks on the shipping ugggggg!!!!! i think you can make a complaint ebay will side with the buyer thats for sure....im getting one soon with the case and he only charged me 22.66......31 for the saw but it is one with the black trigger and a green case......and black on off switch you know me i like to have a different saw it looked neat ...dude thats way to much on the shipping.....
I passed on that one too because of the shipping. Somebody got a somewhat crusty but complete looking Wizzard version of a S25-CVA for $10 plus $12 shipping today. Almost bid on that one. Hope the winner was somebody here, and that it has a good P/C.
Is somebody here username Dirtydeedsdonecheap on Ebay? He/she usually has a lot of Poulans listed.
Nick
i have got some great deals from him ! he dont clean a thing but its just as he states it ..... at least for me anyways!!!! you see he has that super 25 up soon nick!!!! its a solid state ...hint hint!!!i was eyin it ...... but i really really need another super like well i just dont at all!!!!i want a few more micros then its on to larger rear handle saws.... oh likes to write on his saws with a sharpy degresser straight takes it off but rinse it soon after or your paint will dull ... ask me how i know LOL!
I'm with you that that's high for shipping, but I really think as an avid ebayer you need to look at the total cost for an item before bidding. If he had the shipping listed, I say it's not at all his fault. I often pad fixed price shipping a bit to cover the California buyers that purchase my stuff. If it was me, I'd give you a little break, but I don't think that should be expected when it was laid out from the start.
Just my opinion. I hope it works out for you, I just hate seeing sellers get hosed on the star rating system ebay has now.
I do ship next day though. That part would tick me off.
did you see that nice poulan s25cva for 20 somthin and 16.80 shipping it was solid state i had it in my saved but missed it i shoulda bid on that one clean saw!!!!! bright green!!!!
Still not a bad price if it's a decent saw. You can bet that after ebay and paypal fees plus actual postage the seller isn't exactly getting rich on that sale. Just remember, the seller probably didn't exactly get the saw for free either. If you ask the seller I'd bet you he would tell you he lost money on the deal. I have a 25DA that I certainly wouldn't sell for that price!
Ebay also now charges a fee for shipping and I've heard ebay sellers say that they have to add a couple or three dollars extra to their shipping to cover the fees.
oh on that saw its solid state but its not the right airfilter on it... all the solid state green ones i have seen have a lil different cover it a lil higher as the carbs have a plastick spacer under neath but you need that coil so it should be good if it sells low!!!!
i have to say the fees are BS they are getting fat off the fees for sure!!!!!!i ship mine for 20 on the lil ones and 25 on large ones somtimes i eat it a lil somtimes i make a buck or 2 but on shipping but ive really gotten pissed at what between ebay and paypal then what ebay gets on shipping... i always add in confirmation in with the price... ive been sellin on craigs list.. for saws that run i may just use ebay to buy and sell parts i did not use.....if you did not have the fees you could ship it for 15 16 bucks and the 80 cents confirmation but its getting to be not worth it ... im diggin CL more and more....what did they make off you on that saw you just sold 5-7 bucks????with paypal?
My last one sold for around $25 also and they got $6.40 out of the deal. It had been listed 3 or 4 times in the past and nobody would even bid on the saw. It was one of the more dependable saws I've sold.
They would have gotten more if I'd had more pics of the saw, I usually limit that to two pics and allow the bidders to request more pics or ask questions about the saw. Paypal also charges me when I withdraw money from my account. I usually figure the fees to be at about 20% total. Rule of thumb: Don't expect to make much or any profit selling Poulan saws, people usually equate all these fine saws with the big box store saws of today.
