---geez man get better! Sounds like the cure is worse than the disease!

I was told I have this decades ago, really went overdrive into simplifying my diet, knocking out a lot of crap they put in food, avoiding too much salt etc. Eat healthy, it helps! I'm serious, go alternative, dump modern "mc food" crap and go back to great grand pappy days style eating. Before they had "ingredients" in food that you can't even hardly pronounce. If you can't recognize it as "food", it ain't food and you don't need to eat it. It *makes* a difference.

i agree

Hang in there Stub, you can do it.

I have been fighting it for some years myself but my daily med seems to be just ok.

The extra weight dont help, I know personally and need to get back serious about it. Hate to say it but this jobs killin me, no exercise, eat too much at breaks and lunch even if not really hungry just because its that time. :sucks:

Need to exercise more cutting wood with my old Poulans!

Glad to hear your gettin a handle on your health issues, Stub, :msp_thumbsup:
I'm sure NOT one to give health advice, as I do everything the wrong way as far as diet and what not. Plus I smoke like an old steam locomotive.:( Havn't been to a Dr. since I played basketball in HS. :dizzy: (i'm 58) Bout the only real exercise I get any more is cutting & handling wood.

Gregg,

3400 carb problems

My 3400 was racing from idle. Thought if might be an air leak but found trash in the tank that the previous owner didn't clean out when he replaced the fuel line. Anyway before I pressure tested I put on a known good carb I pulled off a running saw and it solved the problem. I then rebuilt the old carb but obviously not correctly. Now it'll fire and run for a few seconds but then won't restart. Plug is wet when I pull it so I assume it's flooding. What should I look on my carb rebuild to correct it? Thanks.

You rebuilt the carb, now it sucks, floods. Junk under the needle keeping it open, gaskets put on wrong, metering lever set wrong, junk under the adjustment needles or the tips got smashed.

Or sunspots. I tend to like to blame sunspots meselfs.

It could just be the adjustment though, start with one out each, go from there.

I'm outside this afternoon using my 3400 and batt saw. I am junior volunteer groundie. Boss had some tree guys with a bucket truck come over to whack away at this HUGE oak in the front yard. Coffee break for me. I'll post some pics tonight in the firewood forum most likely. I'm getting a bunch of wood and actually staying ahead of them with the branches. It'll still take me some days to really milk out the branches though, just sorta making neater piles and separating big from medium and small, plus some blocking.

They are running a 200T but are both real impressed with the batt saw, and the old guy likes the 3400.. he goes like "I remember those saws"!

Kinda fun but I know next summer is gonna suck until the branches grow back and we get the shade back. Gonna be hot....that's our only AC for the cabin.

Ok, I kind of have to agree with Zogger. It sounds like there is either something holding open the metering valve, or the lever is misadjusted, or there is debris holding the adjustment screw open too far.

Nick

I was just out cutting up a 24" red oak with my 3800 Craftsman saw. It was awesome. I'll run up and take some picks if I get a chance. Love that saw. Almost as peppy as my old 4000..... Not quite though...lol :msp_thumbsup:

the 3.7

Had an awesome day cutting today. ill just tease you guys with this. One of my bigger saws would not start so I had to use my 3.7. Ill have a bunch of pics later.... That saw is...surprising to say the least especially after what I did with it today.
