Right about now I would kinda like to have a couple!:msp_sad:

Mike
You can have all of mine. In fact if you were closer you could have this pile of hell!!

And here I am burning some old junk Post Oak tonight. Most people around here will thumb their nose at it (since we have so much Red Oak) but it makes a better fire and burns longer than Red, just a ##### to split as it is usually all twisted and knotted up.
Try splitting a Swamp Maple once. It splits around the corner, user the bridge and every damn way but the way it should. I took my frustrations out on it with the 2900, she's been neglected for the last month since I got the creamsicle and the Dolkita.

300 bucks into a 50 buck saw?

Heck, I got the 3300 for free. Needs some tlc like the piston and cylinder cleaned up a little, and a new ring, as well as intake boot, etc.

Figure since it needs all that work, I don't really want to do it, and I want it to have a pop up and other cool stuff to make a 54cc creamsickle eater... which I don't have the stuff to do such extreme mods like a pop up and dropping the cylinder and stuff.

I do like the 655... that is one mean green beast... looks great with a big ass filter on top of the carby...

No idea what I'll end up with to trade to Stumpy to get the little green machine back... I can tell you none of the Macs are leaving the stable, and that gray Craftsman/Poulan ain't leaving either, same for the red Craftsman/Roper and the Pioneer... maybe I can send him that little Woodshark as part 1 of the trade deal...

and when I do get the 3300 back, I can put the it in the truck in case some random tree thinks it's funny to hinder peoples' commute to work... I would then have to find some ethanol free gas to make mix for it... that way it can stay fresh for longer and not eat away at the diaphragm and fuel line.

Just buy a quart of the canned premix and leave it in the sealed can in the tool box. Shelf life measured in years. Five bucks, worth it for your special emergency truck saw.

Nobody makes that mount which is K041 in 3/8 in a 18" or 16". You can order a 180RNBK041 from bailey's and they will switch the nose out to 3/8 for you at no charge. You will need a 64DL chain to fit the saw now. I did it on one of my PP330.

Very correct info. 20 and 22" seem to be the only 3/8's bars in K041 mount.

You could use a K095 small Husky mount bar after filing the adjuster hole to oil through the bar goove but a 18" Husky bar used 68DL chains, only 2 less drive links the the 20" bar made for the saw.

Another option would be to get a 3/8's 18" Dolmar bar like what was on the 5100s. There actually only a 17" bar, use's 64 DL chains and are a K095 Husky style mount thats easy to modify to work on the Poulan.

Nothing wrong with sugar maples.

Only if your trying to get a fire to last in the stove all night.

got a cylinder cover and airfilter in today!!!! think i got my self a great lil saw for next to the trailer... great anti vibe light pretty strong brand new bar got on clearance at my local store for 10 bucks and that new vxl91 chain the the longer tooth... its been muffler modded basic took the screen out and drilled it a lil ... it cuts great think its the perfect saw to limb around my trailer and when i get op in there and cut and tromp stuff down!!!!!!35 for saw shipped to me ten for the bar local brand new chain brand new shipped around 12 bucks total and the cylinder and air filter shipped to me like 9 bucks.....about 66 bucks love it!!!!View attachment 223676View attachment 223677

Not bad Stubby, that a 2500? I like that series, pretty decent for a clamshell.

It can be hard on you. I have a strong S25 that I've been thinking about having Stumpbroke. I just want an all out MS200 killer. I know what you guys are thinking, spending $$$$ on a $50 saw, but it will still be cheaper than a 200. I think you need to run a few of the bigger old green saws, say, start with a 4000, then a 5200, then move on to a 525, and then a 655.

Nick

Nick I'm not so sure that a 5200 cant handle a 525. Heck it took a 655 to outrun them at Greggs. They were faster then Brads P-60.

Hey promac sounds to me like a fun saw.
I just finished up a 3450 myself. Widened up the ports just alittle raised them by maybe a half mm to compensate for removing the base gasket. Did a MM and so far seems to run pretty good. Have not done any testing in wood yet but all in good time.

Looks good but I would be afraid of bending the pipe on the muffler against the bigger logs when bucking them. Might be ok if your mindfull of it.

2600

its a 2600 with a filter and cylnder cover from a 295...im pretty happy with it i was reading about the echo cs 400 saws... in the mods section of late.... saw this one thought it was around the same cc saw... im pretty happy with it i ran it really really hard and it acted like it wanted more .. so i said im keepin this one cleaned it and gave her a new bar and chain!!!!i have to say i like it a whole lot more then the wild things i had .... i wanted this one to use alot so the anti vibe on it is a plus!!!

I got cha, 2600 and 2500 about the same anyway far as I know. They are a better saw then the base model Wild things and such. The 2500 I have has a chrome bore and a made in Sweden crank in it. Its the one I ported for the WT races and it did pretty darn well considering the hack job I did on it. Its got a 12" bar and running a 7 tooth sprocket.

I still have it and it smoked all the 40cc saws down at Jeremys.

Hi again guys.I recently purchased a Poulan from eBay which i recieved today. The problem is that i don't know what model it is.It's in really good shape, high comp, the piston-cylinder are like new.It needs only a carb kit, some screws and a really good cleaning.Anyway, does anyone knows what model it is?The saw is here:eBay - The UK's Online Marketplace.

That has all the earmarks of a 2775, just like Mark said.
I just finished porting one and modding the muffler. That little Ba#@*rd is a screamer!
I put a 13" bar on it pulling full comp full 3/8ths chain and it is BAAAAD to the bone!!!

wow i bet it smokes with a 12!!!! i tested it with a 14 and it was perfect!!!! but the 16 will be to inches less i gotta reach down LOL! seems like the longer cutter slowed it down a lil also but not to much.. gonna give this 91VXL056G 16" CHAIN a try!!!

Thanks for the information on the Dolmar bar. I have a 112 and was thinking about taking the bar off and comparing it to the Poulan but now I will just look for a 5100. I did not consider the pipe being bent and will take that into consideration on the next one I do. Maybe try and figure out a way to bring it out the side. The bucking spike is pretty long so did not consider it to be a problem.

any videos of it ?

Stubby, I forget stuff and dont want to lie but I think the 2500 was turning like 13800 or so when I got done with it.

It runs pretty good.

any vids on utube??? or on this sight????i dont have a tach so that means it was getting it right LOL!

Yes your 112 should have a K095 mount bar on it and you can compare it to the K041 mount to see how the 041 oils through the adjuster holes and how you have to file the slot on the 095 mount so it will oil the same way.

I looked at the 2010 Oregon catalog and the bar # you want for the 64dl bar would be a 180ATMZ095. Not surprising the Z095 mount as that denotes a odd drive link count compared to the standard K095.

I bought a couple Oregon 20" Z095 mounts that take the standard Poulan 70DL and modded it and put it on my PP330.

i found it!

I think there was a video of it in Seans GTG thread last year. If you can find that...

it took a long time but i found it!!!! your the really big dude in overalls???? thats a fast lil saw wow!!!! all those saws were fast!!!!!! i had you confused with the fellow that was drinking a beer and singin the wild song song!!! i had to back off my head was throbing!!! had fun reading and watchin the videos!!!! i think my fave was those fellas cutting then singin the wild song song i laughed so hard i spit beer on my new monitor LMAO!!!! that looked like fun LOL!
