I'm not sure of the "tone of voice" implied here, but I'm not sure that I was clear enough.....Anything would be considered, and the 3 items are
mereley things i need/want. In no way do i expect 1 person to have all 3 items, willing to trade for a west-german creamsicle.....

I have all three, but I am not looking to get rid of any of it.

haha yeah its got a "layer" on it, but its an oily layer, Ive actually found this protects the saw! Ive yet to get one like this that doesnt clean up pretty good. I got this one and another 335 about a year ago. One is done and I use it a lot. I have all the parts for it now and the original 20" replaceable tip .325 bar.
I think I will replace the AVs since i will be tearing it all the way down.

Exactly what I was thinking! I actually prefer to get saws that are coated with a layer of oily dust and such. Those saws aren't nearly as rusty and corroded as those that have sat in an old damp shed while clean.

Thats for sure, the other one was almost as dirty.

Nick,
yeah this was part of a CL deal for a whole bunch of saws.

I started working on German cars right out of high school. Hell, I had to buy SAE tools to work on these old Poulans(and I have TONS of tools)!

If it hadn't been for a strong addiction to 5hp Briggs motors during my childhood, I'd be the same way. lol First car was a bug at 14 and it was a downhill spiral from there.

I'm getting ready to put a 617 Mercedes diesel in my Land Cruiser as we speak.

That will survive a nuclear holocaust. Get in and drive to South America! You gonna fit that thing with a french fry oil burner too?

Well I worked on a few saws this afternoon then came in for dinner and felt that I just didn't get anything done, so back out I went and got busy getting this going.

That's right my second 8500 is in the running category, every thing but a chain.

You better believe it. It will be on bio for most of it's life and the mec. I bought for the engine used to be a drug runner for the dessert... came with an extra 35 gallon tank:rock: I'm gonna make everyone on the road hungry:)

Jim... Awesome! I love that feeling when you get one going. You should have enough now, don't you think? Let me give you my address to get the other ones out of your way...:)

I'm selling my 2300cva. It has a cracked handle from an accidental fall. Its been ghetto fixed and holds up fine. It's runs very well and has a brand new bar and chain. PM me if interested. I'm also going to post an ad in the classifieds but figure posting in this thread might arouse some interest.

Doesn't ghetto rigging involve hanging a 30" rim on it and expired plates? That would make for one heavy saw.

I've spent the evening doing a much nicer fix that looks like it belongs on the saw. I even used black hardware and steel for the repair

I'm pretty proud of my evening's work:) I'd hate to see a new handle put on it and have the saw lose its character now.

ok.Here is the pictures of the muffler of my 2775.The diffuser has very little holes and i think that if i could open up them,it would be much better for the saw.The problem is that i can't open the muffler because it is one part.Any ideas? Here is the pics:

Yes that one is SUPER easy!

Look at the front of the muffler.
See those tubes that the bolts go into?
Take a pair of pliers and pull one of those tubes straight out.
Put the biggest washer that will fit through the hole where the tube used to be on the bolt.
Bolt the muffler back on the saw.
