I believe I have a coil that you are welcome to. I can check tomorrow to see if its ok if you would like.
That would be great. A coil is needed for sure. Thanks.

I have now (very recently) started using factory Sthil weedeater gas line for impulse lines on these saws. I know it's almost blasphemey but it is what it is. Black in color, comes in a 1 meter package, very stiff and seems to be a very good sub. I've got a package in the shop and will post a part number later today, don't feel like walking out there at 0530 this morning,
Google is your friend...stihl part number is 00009302803
STIHL 3/32 FUEL LINE MADE FOR TODAYS FUELS 38" 044 MS460 029 MS250 00009302803 | eBay
I have been useing Echo line from Edge and Engine and is probably the same type stuff. In fact I seen yesterday I need to get some more soon. I'll be calling Kyle.
I dont know who that seller is on ebay and he has alot of parts that I would like to buy but at this point I refuse to buy anything from him.
He is way high on everything. Some things are current part #'s and he is way above list price even on those. You will also find he ends up dropping the price on things after a long time and he's done "fishing" for a sucker.
No thanks....

I was just using that as a reference, I buy it locally for ~$4 I think.....
I have that same saw, and with a muffler mod and properly tuned it cuts quite well. I have the 20" bar on it and it has no trouble pulling it at all - I keep reading that it can't, but it does anyway.
What chain are you running? If you still have the 33SL on it, then get a loop of 20BPX and see what you think. I eventually ground off all the shark fin bumpers on the 33SL and got it sharpened properly, but it's still barely as fast as the 20BPX.

Hey Chris, I haven't seen a 20BPX chain but wonder if the cutter is about the same width as the 33 chain also are the depth gauges set the same on the 20BPX and 33 chains ?
I figured as much, just wanted to point out that seller to the rest of the Poulan guys.
I agree.Very expencive seller.I asked from him a coil and a muffler for my 306A(he has listed a lot of parts for 306 on eBay) and he asked 50$ for the coil and 25$ for the muffler + shipping to Greece.I refused to give almost 100$ for these two parts. The price for the muffler its almost ok but i think that 50$ for the coil is too much.He said that these are obsolete parts and that is the reason for the prices.
Tygon's not suitable for impulse lines. It can't handle the temps, and is too 'squishy' for the vac/pressure pulses. Factory impulse line, and good high temperature automotive vacuum line are the ticket here.
just got this from a friend was not running, put in new fuel lines and filter cleaned carb not rebuilt... but may... and it runs see link to video... sorry for the sound quality.... now a good cleaning and new bar and chain I am thinking of a 20-24 inch bar for a big saw... let me know what you think.... Also where can I find a bucking spike and how do you mount it?

Scott, I don't have a 33 chain to compare BPX to, but I just measured 20BPX at 4.0mm or .164" wide. Rakers should be .025" down on it also. Hope this helps a little bit.

He lists NOS parts for big money. When his auctons run out he doesn't relist the parts either. I had some of his listings in my watch list (mostly 25CVA AV mounts and some 200/300 series gaskets). All ended and gone now, without anyone buying them. He also has a Craftsman 2.1A listed TWICE, for two different crazy prices. Same pictures, and same serial numbers...

Looking at those items, isn't that where Calvin is from?
Yes, but I understand Calvin's in Witchita or somewhere getting his groove on.
