HeRoze, I would say it worked OK. If you are going out to cut up some blown down branches or even some firewood, it will be OK. If you are running the saw for an hour or more(only stopping to fill the tanks) you will probably have to adjust the chain. The only time I had problems with it coming loose was when I was cutting down and chunking up trees non-stop for several hours. However, because it would come loose, I check all my chains anytime I fill up(which is probably a good practice). Mine's in good shape save for a slightly melted spot on the brake handle where I misjudged the outlet on the 295 muffler I had installed. I didn't run it for more than 5 minutes though, so it isn't affecting the durability at all.

I have all the AVX pieces here if you want them.

Poulan 3700 Craftsman 3.7, BEST AROUND! BETTER L@@K! | eBay

I couldn't help it. I had to respond to auction price.

Is that the joker who joined AS and started a thread about his cherry Craftsman 3.7 a few months ago? That guy was just fishing for offers.

I do like some Black and Tan Yeungling.

Whoever it was that was looking for the XXV, PM me, I have info for you.

I think that was Wendell (Steve). He mentioned not having an XXV in this thread a couple days ago. I offered to trade him one for his SD166. No go...:D

The pictures look the same. I would buy it for $80, but not a penny more. That's just because I don't really need it any more than another hole in my head.

Mine is nicer than that! I have modified it since then, and I use it! How can you not use a 61cc saw that pulls a 28" bar thru hardwood?

I found a very nice starter for my second 8500 so I decided to take it out and quarter some rounds still on my trailer, I also brought out the 1800 for bucking up the limbs. Unfortunately it started raining and getting dark so I only got to run the 8500 for a little bit.

Is the pregnant wife bare footed? Is the 2 yr old wearing bib overalls? Is the 2500 a 4WD? is there a cooler full of beer, a dog and some chainsaws in the back of it?

If at least some of those answers are yes, you would fit in just fine around here. :ices_rofl:

Let me know about the fittings when you get a chance, no hurry as I feel my wallet getting lighter already. :msp_biggrin:

Hopefully some other guys here will want some as well.

Ok, here's your answers.....
1) In the summer frequently
2) Yes, has barn boots, carhart bibs, and coat. Also has woolrich type strapped winter hat.
If he turns out "preppy" it won't be cuz I didn't try
3) Oh hell yes 4wd. stock wheels, but really nice goodyear 6 ply wrangler's ('05, no leather etc...)
It only gets used for specific things. Not a daily driver, keep it inside. not a show truck
either though, Can haul wood, car seat, stroller x,y,z.......... all at once
4) Jack & Coke, No dog. Several times in the fall, one of the 42's and dads 85 will ride home from
the farm, proudly & safley displayed with a backdrop of a Mammoth load of huge chunks.
5) I wouldn't worry too much about the wallet, I make my living from large corporations.
Out of habit I try not to work for the public too awful much.

Took the boy to see Elmo and friends "sesame street live" in State college, he was lovin it! :cool2:

Gregg,

My minty 4000 is going up for sale right now for a BIN of $600 or I would be willing to take a nice(NOS) 655BP plus some cash on trade. My 4000 is wearing a new 24" Oregon Powermatch bar and a matching LPX chain. The 655 must be sporting a 36" bar or larger.

:msp_thumbup: I hear ya! I have NEVER sold a saw, but if that guy gets what he wants for that 3.7, I just might have to send a couple to the Bay. Trouble is, I don't really want to sell any of them..LOL

Gregg,

Most of mine I wouldn't want to sell either but I do keep an occasional Homelite 150, Super 2, or Mini-Mac around just for that purpose.

He has already dropped his opening price to $250. On another subject has anyone tried to port the intake port on the 3700, etc.?

Yes I have Bob.

The problem is, the port will flow everything the intake manifold will.
I always massage the manifold but there is just so much you can do with it.
I have thought of making a custom one but haven't done it yet.

Thanks Mike. Was the effort worth it? I opened up the exhaust port on a 3800 and was thinking of widening
the intake.

Poulan Pro 375 gas tank

The gas tank is loose, wiggles a little on my 375. What secures it in place? I can't see anything from the flywheel side holding it in place. Saw runs good but this seems like something isn't right.
