Yeah, my grandfather had 3 saws, a Poulan 3400, Poulan S25DA, and a small McCullough that was yellow and black with a 13" bar. Dad bought a Stihl Farmboss and another small Stihl for limbing so he gave me the 2 Poulans. I'm thinking it'll be a good start to a 3 saw arsenal. I'll buy a big saw sometime later down the line.

Josh did you say the rope broke on that one saw ?

just wondering be sure you look inside that package very good sent you something else along with the duckbill

Heres a few pics of my latest resurections :)
3 versions of the S25DA's and a Super 380

Looks good Gregg how hard is it to make them ?

If you know anyone needing a Side bar cover for the 4000 let me know

Lets just say, it was a LOT of trial and mostly error..lol
Getting them to print at the right size was no picnic, for me anyway.
Would be a lot easier to start with a good example to go from, but I just guessed and went free hand on some that I did. I won't be doing this as a buisness, thats for sure.

Gregg,

You did pretty good there Greg!

My poor 4000 could use a freshing up..:D

Thats a pretty good pic of the right side decals Mark. Wish I had that to start from. Sometime when ya have time, take another shot like that, more of a close up of the clutch cover. I'll send ya a set of what I came up with so far.

Gregg,

Looks as though you would need a two part decal due to the recess for the 4000.

Awesome decals on the 4000's! Its good to see people taking pride in the old school poulan's. they were build just as good as any for the price back when!

Actually,

"Back when" they were so far ahead of the vast majority, it was laughable.
Most would be amazed at how much "Poulan technology" wears the Husky name still today.

You got that right, Steve. Now that the 041 is up and running I can get my 5200 back together. Its been repainted and doesn't look too bad. Made some decals using lettering stencils. Not OEM but it doesn't look too bad. I did paint the top cover lime green since the original owners manual seemed to have a lime green top. However I've seen some with black tops so I'm not sure I have it painted correctly. Will post pictures in a couple days.

I think the later ones were the ones with the black tops.

I have one with a black top coming next week.
