Bob, this thread helped this ole dummy out on how to do it.

Just remember when you paste the shortcut in the box to wipe out the http in it first.

That ole saw looks pretty good and there will be some repo 4200 and 5200 deacals being made soon from what I'm told. That would really set it off.

Agree. My lettering isn't the best. Do you know what the recommended rpms should be out of the cut?. Checked mine at about 10,200 but I don't seem to hear it fourstroking. Plug is brown however so I think I'm okay.

poulan at work

Gave my S25 a little work out today cutting some oak skids my dad got from his shop. I was gonna use my shindaiwa 345 (only cause it was closest!) but it wasn't running right and I didn't feel like messing with it. Took out the Poulan poured a little gas in and she fired right up. Not bad for a 27y.o. saw sitting in an unheated garage on a 17* day. Course I dulled that chain in no time hittin nails:censored:. Its ok though, i want the 16" b&c on it anyway.

S25 for rough carpentry work & demo

I have used mine to cut out a door opening & demo work on a old barn.
I save safety chains for this purpose, if nails may be involved.

Don't even think about useing a tach on it, as that HS carb is governed and needs to be set in the wood.

Okay, who won it?...I was outside w/ a customer and missed the end of the auction...

Sean, I'm so mad at myself right now! :censored: I was going to bid on that but went to my doctors appointment and forgot to. Someone would have had to pay more if I would have remembered.

Lucky think I got one already. I thought you were interested in one and I doubt one will be found at that price again.

I had full intentions of bidding, but got tied up in the yard w/ a customer...I missed the end by maybe 2 minutes...:censored:...I just sold a set of drums on ebay and had some extra money in my paypal to fund my CAD...Oh well, I guess I should have bid 20 minutes earlier when I was sitting at my desk...

I don't feel quite so bad as I wasn't the only one to screw up then.

Your the one that really screwed up though as you wouldn't have had to outbid me since I forgot!

AND I have one and you don't !!!

There awsome little saws and the main reason I don't get caught up in that 346/5100 fever as the PP325 is right up there close to them.

:monkey:...You don't have to keep rubbing it in...:cry:

It's all good though...

3800 idle problem

I got a new air and fuel filter along with a sparkplug for the 3800 that I bought last week.Fired it up and got it idling and running really good.Tried it out on a 15" oak log and it cut good but when I let off the gas it would die. After messing with it for a while,I saw that the Idle screw is backing itself off at WOT.Anyone else ever have this problem?

Had that happen on a Mini-Mac saw. In fact I lost one of the screws in the yard; never did find it. I ended up giving the saw away. I have another Mini-Mac now and I put a little silicone sealer on the screws. Not quite loctite but you can still adjust them if need be.

There is a spring under the idle screw isn't there? If not there should be.
