I'm really pleased with the way my 295 runs.
It's a great little saw for what I have invested in it.

Mike

I agree. This is actually my second one. It was really beat up bad and needed much more than I had anticipated. Well it will out run a echo cs4000 any day and still a whole lot cheaper.
The other good thing is that it is like brand new except in appearance.
I guess it is good for another 50 hours.

Those damn Poulan box store chainsaws with their 50 hour life expectancy !

I've never a 295, but have herad good things about them. My understanding is my 4620 is basically a 295 with a new model number, & maybe some minor cahnges.

\

That would be a correct understanding.
Before they did that AVX crap the 4620 was a FINE little saw.

More pics of saw put together.

That saw re4ally looks sweet like brand new, only better. Great job!!!

That is correct.

The good part is that the AVX models can be converted to the good "old school" technology!

Mike

Here is my AVX that is as close to new as one gets. My buddy bought it new and bent the bar in a bad way the first week he had it and I ended up with it and it's still looking for a new home lol.

The 50 hours is only to stay within the EPA air pollution guidelines. It's not a life expectancy, although it sometimes seems like it! Nice job on the saw, looks great!

Regards,
Lee:rock:

Ok I went and looked at the label again and I see where it says emission: durability period 50 hours.
I guess I shot the hell out of that already. Those old shower curtain rods will get you everytime.

Nice looking saws. I really like that 335 you have there. What model are some of the others.

3600, 335, 3.3(black 335), 2-330's, 4620 and a few older non AV poulans not pictured like 2-245A's, 2-306A's, 2000, 1800, 2300...and a few other's.

John, you been holding out on us.

Nice bunch you got there. I would think that your liking the 330's? After a muffler mod of course.

I always have...remember Mark that I was the one that posted on here that TSC had a few new old stock 330's and it started a little bit of a frenzy that if I remember correctly that you were even in on.

Heck I've even been trying to get my old PP380 back from one of my long time friends but he's not comming off of it. As a matter of fact the last time he was over he got me for my nicest red 3.7 that I had...

Thinking back it's hard to believe that I bought that like new 380 for 60 bucks at a local garage sale. (I think that is why it was so easy to let it go for the 250.00 that he offered me)

BTW I posted one of my 330's is in the swapmeet thread.

Yes I remembered that, thats why I asked that. Seems eveyone liked them except one guy.

I stlll have a hard time getting a grip on the 3500/3600 thing. Most 3600 I have seen have the wide cyl and air filter covers on them like the PP365 while the 3500's all seemed to have the narrow covers like your PP335 does.

Now you say you have a 3600 but it has the narrow covers, seems I just cant get it right. :hmm3grin2orange:

I'll have to get a better picture for ya Mark, it has the wide covers and a chrome cylinder like the 365..

Cool, I'm not going as crazy as I thought! :hmm3grin2orange:

They looked narrow at first glance in that picture.

There nice saws, basically the same as a PP365 far as I can tell and I like my 365 alot.
