Well, I got a new Poulan coming in soon. No just new to me either, its newer in years than my Dolmar PS 540 I bought new in '06. Paid some for it but Ive wanted one for a while. Justifying the purchase by selling my just finished 034 :msp_thumbup:

Lets see! Newer than 2006. What Poulan can it be that you want so bad? Hmmmm, the only thing I can think of is a
PP330.

haha Since I have to wait we all do! And besides, Im superstitious if I tell my buddies here what saw it is it will probably get lost in the mail!

Joe, Your gettin to be as bad as ModifiedMark! Saying you got got a neat old Poulan coming, and then won't spill the beans, and make us guess!

But, on the other hand, I can see your point about wanting to actually get your hands on it first.:D

Gregg,

yes but the price of a used 034 will more than cover the price of a new 2050.

Well, I'm using some Sherlock Holmes theorizing. Joe said the saw was in the mail. If I wanted a 2050 I'd buy one at a dealer. There was also a like new PP330 that sold on Ebay today. One bidder. Voila', that was Joe.

That saw belonged to a member here.
Joe could probably have gotten a better deal here since there would have been no eeeeeeeeee-Bay fees involved!
There won't be any problem with the shipping, I know that seller!

Sorry Carl. I didn't sell my saw. Don't chu worry. I meant that somebody just bought the NOS CA-spec 200/300 series muffler (on ebay) that I'd recently posted the link for. I posted that link in the first place because that ebay auction listing answered my question about the unusual muffler that my new-to-me 306A has on it (since the muffler in the listing is identical to mine, and had Ca-specific literature with it).

I was trying to state that I'd prefer a different style of muffler to that particular unit (because this style burns the clutch cover.......see my pic), but having that particular NOS muffler would beat the hell out of not having one at all (or having a rusted out muffler). Guys here have posted up before about needing a new muffler for their 300/200 series saw because their saw is missing a muffler, or their current muffler is cracked or rusted out. For them, I'm sure this NOS muffler would be just peachy.........especially for $2.75 plus shipping. I doubt I'll be able to find the type I'm looking for NOS for that price...

And the seller would've probably made a little more money avoiding them eeeeeeeeeeeeeee-bay fees...:hmm3grin2orange:

As I was sitting here drinking my morning coffee :potstir: And thinking about what saw Joe might be getting. Was thinking about what Poulan saw I would like most to buy, find, whatever, New on a dealer shelf type condition, what would it be? I have narrowed my all time Poulan saw down to a PP655BP or 8500. Seeing how I have a soft spot for the traditional Poulan green, I guess I would choose the 8500.:)

Truth be told, I would settle for a decent used one..LOL Just curious what your favorite Poulan might be? They made a lot of great saws over the years, and certain saws obviously have their place for a specific type of work, or niche. What be your favorite of all time, if you could buy a new one?
