Got a dumb question. Friend has gas leaking out of wild thing gas cap...right out of breather in middle where that sintered thing is. How can that be fixed?

Get the correct gas cap. The Wild Thing and most box store Poulans don't have a vent in the cap.

It amazing how these caps get mixed up.

Lee;)

there is no duck bill in the gas cap on a wild thing?

I thought there was but my WT is out in the garage right now, may check in the morning. If it didn't come out with a duck bill valve in the gas cap then it would be solid and not leak other than at the gasket. IMO it was ignorant of the saw companies to put the fuel and oil caps where they did, it just invites a leak. I like them on the top left side like some manufacturers did long ago.

Question:how to pull out the worm gear from the crank of my 2775?I want to replace the bearings-seals.

With a worm gear puller.
You can actually get it off without the puller but getting it back on correctly with the proper spacing is a BEAR!!!
If the spacing isn't correct it will chew up the threads on the oiler.

The pullers are usually available on ebay for around $5.00 + shipping.
They are cheaply made but they work well.
The Poulan tool is the cats rear but they are high$$$$$$$.

Welcome back Mike.I wish you a speedy recovery and thank you for the respond.

The 2775 has not the spring for worm gear but this part:Oil Pump Worm [530029833] - $2.90 at eReplacementParts.com

Can i do this without a puller,if i heat up the worm for example or the puller is the only way? This puller you are talking about, have you got any link for it?

I don't have the link to the puller.
My Dolmar dealer just got one for ModifiedMark and I would be thrilled to give you his contact info in a P.M. if you would like.
I'm certain there is another way to get that rascal off of there and I would try a pipe coupler if I could find one that would match the threads.
I don't know how much heat I would put there without having one here in front of me to look at.

I'm needing a cylinder base gasket for 3700-3800,anyone know where I can find one? :help:

Yes Sir I do.

In a tube of Permatex Moto-Seal!
You will find that leaving that gasket out and replacing it with a thin film of Moto-Seal will help your performance greatly.

Mike's suggestion will work great! If ya want to stick to the old fuddy-duddy way like I usually do,:D Its not hard to make one out of card stock from a beer or pop carton. You even see new ones (occasionally) on ebay. If you go the sealer route, it will increase your performance slightly. These models have plenty of squish area, so going gasketless is no problem on them.

And I took that advice as well! Glad your back man!
I have used permatex motoseal on my:
PP335
(2) S25DAs
4000
Dolmar 112
They all run great except the Dolmar, but it needs a coil.
