Bar recommendations. Right now it has a .325 rim on it, I called baileys today and to get the powermatch plus its $50 and 4-6 weeks, Im impatient. How will this saw do with 18" 3/8"?

Joe, that saw will do excellent with a 3/8's 20" on it so a 18 would be no problem.

I got a Z095 husky mount on mine that way it uses a regular 70DL chain. I think that a husky small mount 18 or 20" bar will use the standard 68 or 72DL chain when used on them as well.

You just need to file the adjuster holes up and into the bottom of the bar groove to oil through them and your good to go by useing a small Husky K095 mount that way.

Here is my 330 with a Power Match small Husky mount 20" bar.

Thanks Mark, thats just what I was looking for.

No you only said that you would not do it without any explanation why you would not do it. I'm not hear to scold anyone at all, just laying it on the line.

Yeah, I guess you're right now that I re read what I wrote. You were a little sterner in your admonishment. But if he wants to drill a hole in his saw I suppose it's his. I like to keep them looking fairly original when I can.

I kinda thought it was obvious why you shouldn't drill a hole in the airbox cover.

Now we know what the hell "wigglesworth" means????? :msp_mellow:

The Pull On J4000 looks to be a serious weapon to my untrained eye. :msp_sneaky:

Not sure your eye is 'untrained', Randy. When are you going to do a Mastermind meets a 5400 for us Poulan freaks?
BTW, received a package from you today - it ain't green but I am looking forward to getting it home and letting it out.:msp_biggrin:

Al.

Here's the other vid I made this morning. Same wood, just round and a hair over 16". If any of y'all that was at my last GTG remember the seriously dense oak that was stacked up at the wood line, this is it, or what's left of it.

And mike was right about the oiler in the first vid. Took a while to get her pumpin. I was pumpin in this vid too, but only because I had a button and I could. Lol.

That may be the strongest 4000 I've seen, and no chain break is a plus.

Sorry Nik I had to.;)

Me too...

Sorry Nik. :check:

I'm so looking forward to running that beast. :msp_sneaky:

Going to give the Poulan guys first crack at this clean good running stock 4000 before putting it in the swap section. Trades for or ?

I only get it out to test with or to take to GTG's.

I just dont want to sale this saw to a local firewood cutter and not be able to replace the P+C if they smoke it. I try to sale only what I can get parts for easily for to the locals and I have a 3400 parts saw with broken piston and some missing parts on the shelf that could go with this trade.

Brad and Nate ran it at the last Ohio GTG June 2nd.

If someone wants some still pics let me know and I'll get some.

Can anyone tell me where I can purchase parts for the Poulan Pro 4218AVX. I would prefer to purchase all parts from an AS member. Please PM me with any recommendations. If this is a violation of AS rules, please delete the post and forgive me. Please understand that it is not my intent to get myself or anyone into trouble!! Thanks, Islero
