Yeah, I probably should have sold something else and kept that one, even though I have another just like it, only red, a couple of Poulan 3400s and a Craftsman 3.0. I could have sold an old Homelite or something.

I would like for a saw guy to get it rather than someone who knows nothing about saws...

I was given 3 Craftsman/Poulan saws yesterday. i got the 5200 and the 3600 figgered out. trying to come up with the poulan model for this Craftsman 360.352010 number. it is 3.1 cu. in. Thanks in advance for your guidance!

With the 360 model # prefix that isn't a Poulan. From what I've seen in searches, the 360 prefix is for Solo.

Here's your saw's IPL on the Sears site:

Here's a Solo IPL that I found in a thread on CSCF while searching for Craftsman's with the 360 prefix.

This just clicked in my skull...............you were GIVEN a 5200 and a 3600 (plus that Solo/Sears)? Crikey. Good score. Wanna make your money back on 'em?:jester:

Thanks Eccentric! I did find it on searspartsdirect. Just didn't know who built it for them. I will check out Solo's models, to figger out what I need. So far just looks lilke a cleaning and a B/C. Looks like it will be a nice little 50CC saw.

He ended the Dayton 5200 auction because "the item is no longer available" (yeah OK). The late production 4000 he also had listed sold today for $200. Maybe somebody did a 'backdoor' package deal with the seller...

POULAN 306A 306 A CHAINSAW CHAIN SAW VINTAGE 20 INCH | eBay

If 306's start selling for a grand apiece, well lets just say that " I'm in the money" :hmm3grin2orange:

Gee, I am glad Aussies still think Poulans are rubbish. Keeps my hobby affordable.:hmm3grin2orange:
Yeah, right. I drove 300 miles yesterday to pick up a cherry 4200. The cost of the fuel outweighed the price of the saw but I must have a problem - or so my dear wife tells me.
I pick up my first 245A tomorrow. It is 2 1/2 hours away but luckily it's on the way to visit my wife's family. Also picking up a P5000 a little further along. Does any one else buy saws and pick them up on their holidays? My wife thinks I am the only one who throws oily old saws on top of the fishing tackle and bags in the back of the car when we are on vacation.
I'll throw up some pics in a week when I get home. Anyone interested in seeing an Echo CS-100? It jumped into the car too. And a P1000 super. (And some ceramsickles) I really don't have a problem.:msp_unsure:

Only if it is sittin next to the cherry 4200 & 245A. :hmm3grin2orange:

You sound perfectly normal to me, Al. You might tell the wife, that when you married for better or worse, this is just a little of that worse part.:D

Gregg,

That is funny Gregg. My wife might forget the 'worse' bit but her folks keep reminding her.:hmm3grin2orange:

I will take some pics when I get home, you can be sure of that. That 245 was described as 'not going' but I have my fingeres crossed!

I put my best 3400 cylinder in the mail to Randy today. It has between .030" and .040" of squish on the outside band with no base gasket. Seems like it was never designed to have decent compression. Can't wait to put the guage on the 4200 - it seems very good.

3750

I have a piston and ring kit part # 530071321 that says it will fit a 3450, 3750, and PP 330. I just checked it against my Tim Allen 3750 and it is not even close. It is to small but all the info I find on the part number includes 3750. Is there something about the Tim Allen 3750 that is different. If some of you guys have rebuilt one of these before I appreciate any info. Thanks. Roger

Mike, That would look real good, sittin on the hood of that WD!!:msp_ohmy:
I can hear the wheels turning down there in Kentucky right now, trying to figure a way to pay for that.:hmm3grin2orange:

Gregg,

No Way Gregg!!!
I guess I'll just have to be satisfied with the Allis-Chalmers 75A that I already own sittin on that old hood!!!:hmm3grin2orange:

IIRC, the Solo is kind of rare as a Craftsman; at least that's what I recall from some threads here on AS.

MM, that would be nice haul even if you had had to pay something for those three saws.

Roger, there's been some speculation around here, and a couple of posts suggest that the Poulan Tim Allen Bad Boy might actually be a 380. Hopefully some knowledgeable members can provide better answers than mine :dunno:.
