anyone ever run a 16" b&c on a 2000? just wondering if the little bugger has the nads to pull that size with authority.

I have a 2000 with the 16" bar. I believe that is what it came with. The 2000 will do fine with a 16" bar but pull it with authority I would say no. I left it on because it will never cut anything that is 16" and it keeps me from bending over or reaching out as far. It will cut up to about 12" with pretty good authority.

Some of will be joining you if Modified Mark posts some group photos of his big Poulans, of course including the Craftsman 5.2 ;).

Like this one, Chris?

Well, I'd say a fair price,so far as my saws is concerned, is less than $100.00. I don't consider my time as a price factor, however. They have all been torn down and rebuilt so they run well. No I don't run them much. Actually hardly at all. Some are in cosmetically good condition, some very good. Even bought a chainbrake for one as a lark. Don't get me wrong. I hope you get what you are asking for them. I just see some guys on Ebay asking unreasonable prices. Saw one guy asking $250 for a 3400, where there is a real nice one now on Ebay, with a case, that is $99.00. PLus this is a relisting at the same price. If I didn't have 3, I'd jump on it.

Then you would have really liked my 3.7 @ 85.00.

I just put a 16" bar on my 2.3 because I felt it would run a little happier with it than the 18" that was on it.

I keep doing a copy and paste of your email address but I do not seem to get it to go through.
I wonder will this work better
email address edited out by Chris J

Posting it that way in an open forum isn't a good idea,
unless that is/was your intent .

Never enough, I still need a 6900, 5400, 7700 and 8500........

Say what? You're missing some of the big Poulans :msp_ohmy:?

So Chris have you been in the beg for manuals thread. Email addresses are plastered in every post, and that is still a public forum. I even have my own email address in there. Just saying.

I sent him some manuals by the way, anybody else.

 Well if we're going to brag about low prices paid :msp_thumbup:, or less :msp_thumbsup:......

then you'll really like my 'new' Craftsman/PP5020AV @ $60.00, and my PP4620AVHD with less than a tank ran @ free. Sorry, I don't yet have photos of either one.

Mine wasn't one I bought, it was one I sold and he did like it.

Got this off of Craigslist..

Found a 36" bar, on the Oregon, Craigslist. Was listed as fitting large Husqvarnas. Was asking $35, so I took a chance that it might work on either my 5200 or 8500. It came in and it's a Jonesereds bar. The bar mount looked a little different, and I thought "I wonder if?" And sure enough, it did!!!!!

Worked perfect on my 71A. I didn't think I'd ever find a long bar to fit this. Was even .404 pitch. Not bad for a total of $45.........Now I need to know what the best way is to figure how many drive links I'll need.

take clutch cover off.
put bar on, adjusted to mid- to in- position (your call)
take starter rope (or something else) and place around the sprocket/bar. mark the distance
measure the distance
divide the distance by the length of the drive link.
round up (or down - your choice) to get links needed.
