I'm curious on the PHO weight of 475 or other in the series. I know their pretty heavy feeling and what paper specs show. Did Mark or any of you other guys get the actual weight of one?

Being I just help guys with firewood etc. I decided to have a bulk sale yesterday and sold all my 362xp, 365, 372 saws, top ends, cranks, cases and extra parts.

Got a 415 475 505 runners I'll use instead and 425 still on the bench to replace them.

Just picked this up...

I found this, by accident, while searching Craigslist....

wtt chainsaw for shot gun - $1 (chesterfield)
Date: 2012-08-16, 12:51PM EDT

i have a poulan 8500 pro series chain saw with a 26 inch bar i would like to trade for 12GA shotgun pump or semi auto the saw runs great cuts like a dream this is one of the older better built poulans made b4 they were being sold at walmart it is a 85cc saw and will run up to a 36inch bar or a bow without a problem i need a 12 ga shotgun b4 hunting season may trade for other guns or crossbow or compound bow setup but really looking for a shotgun shoot me ur offers worst i can say is no email or text

So, since I didn't have a gun to trade, I asked him what he'd sell it for. Said $250, which is WAY more than I usually pay, but thought "It IS an 8500, and it's a runner, so......." He was below Richmond and it would have been a 3 1/2 hr ride, one way, but the guy met me at King's Dominion, and shaved about an hour off my trip. Starts right up and runs great.

Now, I'm supposed to pick up a Stihl 029, tomorrow, that runs great, for $35. Hopefully I can clean it up and flip it to get most of the money, I spent on this, back.

Somebody please buy this to keep my CAD in check, I'm getting way too tempted see what Best Offer the seller might accept. The BIN is too high IMO, but the saw doesn't look as though it was used much.

SEARS CRAFTSMAN CHAINSAW 2.3 18 inch bar No chain | eBay

I like them for a light trim saw. Mine is based on the 2000 33cc motor 2100. Also have a running parts saw in poulan pro 236 that needs seals for sure maybe bearings. Just got it for parts.

Never mind on above. I found where Mark weighed the 475.

It don't weigh quite what I thought it would either, in fact it was just a hair more then the MS460 that I weighed today.

after some help from a member (won't mention his name cause don't know if he'd mind; sure be willing to give credit to him otherwise) with parts (clutch, drum, rim drive) and some cleaning up and fuel line-filter replacement (as recommended by mark) i cranked my 306A up yesterday. had to adjust the carb and tweak the chain, since it likes to tighten up, but other than that it runs very nicely for a 40 year old saw. shoot, runs nicely for any aged saw. both oilers work. i'm just pickled tink. love how that thing sounds. thanks for the help guys

I've been wanting a nice one of these for awhile now.

POULAN SUPER XXV COUNTER VIBE Chainsaw 16 inch VINTAGE NEEDS CLUTCH & SPROCKET | eBay

I made him and offer and liked his counteroffer......so it's coming home to me. Between this and my 4000 I should have a fine two saw Poulan plan. :)

In all honesty, theres not much the average guy cant do with a S25CVA and a 4000. Nice pair.

Randy .. Randy .. Randy .... I woulda sold you a Craftsman-labeled Micro with a 10" B&C for less than that!

Yep and he would have had "less then that"
