No EZ,

I'm not sure why it is doing it but in your quote is attributes what I said as being originally being posted by you.
I had to take myself out of this quote or it was going to do it again!

Gremlins!!! I tell ya. They are sneaky, illusive little devils. :hmm3grin2orange: I think I caught a glimps of one, was wearing a Sthil chainsaw cap. Gremlins in the Poulan thread.:msp_ohmy:

Gregg,

Is this the right place to insert my text?

Klotz R-50 mixed 30:1 is pretty awesome. Setting the oil film theories aside; It smells like a high dollar race sled, bike,go kart etc. If you try running it in your sled on a trail ride, I can tell you what happens: Everyone says, either ride in the back or we're going home. Love it !!!

I run the techniplate in my hotrod sled now, APPARENTLY it's more tolerable :)

KJC

R-50 is 100% synthetic. Benol is Klotz's 100% castor oil. Original Techniplate is also 100% synthetic.

They also have a 20% castor, 80% synthetic blend. Super Techniplate .

I only run Original or Super.

After talking to a Klotz tech he gave me a good reason to stay away from R50. It wont stay mixed with ethanol and anything above 10% ethanol with R50 your eq is suspect to damage, PER Klotz tech.

Hbd !!!

Thanks for the rep guys!!!

Mike

2300 CVA fuel line

I've been going through the saws that live out at my folks farm... Amongst them is a 2300 cva. It was stored with fuel for 6 years according to the tag that my father put on it. At any rate, I dumped what was left, and refilled, and while I could get it to fire, it wouldn't run... So I brought it home. Once here, I filled it again, and now it ran. Didn't do a damn thing to it. The fuel line is rock hard, so I'm going to want to replace that, and I suppose I'll put a new filter on it at the same time, since it can't hurt... Best guess is when I put fresh fuel in it out there, I probably didn't get enough in there to reach the filter that is suspended in space from the rock hard line...

So... I can order a piece from a parts place that lists that model that I've had good luck with before... However, that seems a bit silly for fuel line since they'll just send that same line that will turn rock hard again... What are you guys using for that tiny little line? My fuel line stash is all much heavier (mostly bigger 4 cycle and diesel stuff has had the plumbing done here), so I've nothing to even compare it to...

The little line is available at most chainsaw repair shops. It's used on many weadeater products.

I use 3/16" OD X 3/32" ID Tygon. Some guys like 3/16 X 1/8".

Yes there really great saws. Nice pair, now you need to mod the muffler on one to let it breath like it needs to. Will make it even greater!

Here is the one on my 335.

Look at it this way Mike, When I turned 51, I only had one Poulan chainsaw. You are MUCH further along.
