No Scott, it is too small to use on the 306.

Poulan still shows part # 530031004 as still available and $7.20.

I dont have one myself, I just made one from a steel strap iron with two holes drilled and tapped for #10x24 screws to go into the 2 holes in the clutch and welded a 3/8's nut in the center of it.

But that trouble isnt really worth $7 I just needed it right away.

mark,
thats a good idea
for clutches, i've used a steering wheel puller with bolts and nuts at the right spacing, and sometimes, the bar that holds copper tubing to flare can be used with nuts, bolts and washers............

I got this 3400 from a guy who was gonna sell it for scrap. I swear its the truth. I didnt even bother going thru it I just got it and ran! The guy said it was just a "junk poulan" and he cut trees with a new rancher 455 and ms290, which he called real saws:dizzy:. Well this is no junk. Blue spark and 145psi. Carb kit and lines and this will be ready to go. My buddy Mike sent me a clutch cover for it so it will look good too. The cover is red so heres my plan for this one, I really like the black hood on my 4000 so I think im gonna spray the hood and cover black. What you guys think? The saw is a low hours. I still cant believe he was gonna sell it for scrap!
P.S.
I think my 346xp was getting nervous when i had the 3400 on the bench, there was a puddle of bar oil under it that wasnt there before...

Super 380 20" Bar

Anyone know if this Poulan Pro bar is the correct bar for a Super 380?
I have not been able to find any of this style Poulan Pro bar part numbers that match whats listed in any IPL or manual for this saw.

I have one on it now, that will work fine. But, its the green & black Poulan bar in 3/8" .50 70dl. Just thought it would look a little better with an original type bar.

The specs in the listing seem right! It doesn't say if its a A041 mount or not, but looks right, near as I can tell. The part #'s just never seem to jive.

Gregg,

I'm guessing that the original bars on these saws, might have been the Poulan Pro branded Oregon Power Match, or Windsor Speed Tip style bars, that were solid bars with the replacable tips.
All the bars I have been able to find for these seem to be the laminated style bars, and they just aren't made any longer.
Just a guess :dizzy:

Gregg,

Greg, those #'s drive me nuts also. That said those bars you listed almost half to be original to the 380 or another in that series like my 365.

There the only 2 Poulan Pro's to my knowledge that would have been 20" 3/8's pitch with a K041 bar mount!

I would be interested in a couple of them except I just talked to Bushwacker yesterday and told him to save a couple of the Z095 mount Power Match bars that he has for me. The Z means there a differnt DL count the normal which in this case means 70DL instead of 72DL. He said he has quite a few of them if anyone else wants any let me know soon before I go over there.

Two minutes with round file and I'll have them fitting the 330 and 365 just fine.

So yes I do believe that Poulan Pro bar would be right for your 380.

Gregg,

That bar is the old poulan number. It has been superceded by 952044561 -which is no longer available. Looking at the Poulan Pro ipl's - that bar is used on a PP330, PP365, and a PP380. It may be used on other saws as I didn't go through every PP saw ipl.

Good job on those numbers Ray. I know those bar numbers got changed often but like you said I was sure if was for those saws.

Scott, I probably posted wanting a 24" or 28" Homelite bar. The Homelite mount bars will go right on the Poulans with a spacer on the bar studs and they use the same drivelink counts.

Calvin, I don't know, I had someone do it for me.

i have 1 poulan,,,its the model 1950 woodshark,,,paid 50.00 for it,,not even a scuff on the piston and cylinder,,,put a new 12" carlton chain and bar,,had a 14" on it ,new plug,,pull rope,,mod the muffler,,and tuned it,,,,dang this thing screams
