when Karting I just used 16:1Kart racers had it down to 18:1 I believe for making the most power.
Right. I was just going by what I had seen in the past of them doing dyno runs. Anything within a couple numbers is going to be very similar . I would think in a small chainsaw that a slightly higher ratio probably makes more power due to lighter moving parts but I could be wrongwhen Karting I just used 16:1
That is what I was thinking would be likely the most power in a sub 120 cc chainsaw. But it probably depends on the oil viscosity as wellI have no proof etc or dyno's.
Just seat of the pants test cuts with my gas race saws for cut times back in the day. . When running my cocktail gas mix I settled on 24:1 for race saws.
Can see that can marked even though no race saws in that load. .
