Hey guys, I'm just finishing up restoring that beat up P60 I got from Oregon. Does anybody have a spare operator presence lever spring, or know where to get one. I've got a gray lever and it seemed like it was going to work, must be from a poulan/pioneer.
Thanks Kevin

I might... not sure what your talking about though. Is it the throttle release lever on the top of the handle?

I have the throttle lock. Do you need anything else?

Yes, they are 6202 C3 bearings.

I could also use an outer bar guide plate and the plastic oiler button if you happen to have those in your stash, I've got a set of 6202s here for you.

I had some time to finish up leak testing the P60 and got it all together today. It's got a P60 flywheel side case and a P50 clutch side case, the bar studs were beat up on the old case side. I darkened up the green a bit to match the original color. I then tried starting it with the plug boot off. I flooded my freshly painted muffler, after waiting a half hour she started on the first pull. I put this one together without a base gasket like I did the P50, it's got some serious compression now. The compression before was only 115, I haven't checked it yet but I wouldn't want to try to start it without the compression release. Here it is next to the P50 I did.

Nice looking saws Kevin!

I have some NOS oiler buttons and a used bar plate. Post a pic of the exact piece/pieces you need for the throttle lock.
PM me your addy and I'll ship them out.

Thanks Ed, I'm really getting into tearing these down and rebuilding from a pile of parts.

These are the parts I could use if you've got them, black interlock, interlock spring, oiler button top, rubber grommet for the back of the air filter cover, outer bar guide plate, sorry my wish list got a bit longer.

I've got a set of new bearings, I've also got some spare pioneer saw chain stickers if you could use a couple, anything else you might need? P.M. me with your addy
Thanks Kevin

These are the parts I have. I know I have some springs, but can't seem to find them. I'll keep searching. I need to organize my parts better. I have some NOS rubber grommets coming in next week. I'll send one once I get them in. I'll send you these tomorrow, I'll look again in the morning for the springs.

If you guys need any parts for the P20...P28 series ...

I will probably be scrapping my P21 project for parts. It's just been one FN thing after another. Been spending too many hours on this thing. At this point I got spark and some fuel but won't keep running. Fixed electrical problem (flywheel off, points adj, mag air gap calibrated, condenser , switch and coil cleaned and tested, rusted out starter coil assembly, frozen piston, rusted chain, etc. Should probably take out carb and look for clogged screens or something but I am fed up! I need to clean out , test and re-calibrate my brain! AND I just restored a late 70's Sears LT 8 36 which did go well but a late 70's Generac 4KW is still a failure. HOORAY! My family thinks I am certifyable and would commit me if I wasn't still the primary bread winner at 65. Am expecting my allegedly mint P28 from Nova Scotia in a couple of days. Am looking for an old wood/coal boiler like I had in the 80's. That is what all this craziness is about!

Aaron.....In case you're still on the fence thinking about the P40........

That's a strong runner indeed for 66cc Rob. Much like my 70cc PM700. The seller hasn't relisted it since the ad expired over a week ago. It's probaly sold. The somehwhat high asking price ($100/BO) and the distance I'd need to drive kept me from calling him. I still have the old ad saved, and it contains his phone number. Maybe I'll ring him in a couple weeks (after next payday) to see if he still has it and just gave up on CL.

The P40 has gobs of torque for a 66cc saw and isn't too slow either.....That's "round top" chipper chain in that vid too.....For a saw of it's age it has a rim sprocket and auto oiler....It's fun to run.

I just picked up a P51 in a trade deal on Saturday too.....Looking forward to trying it out when I get it up and running.

New guy here. Here's my Pioneer; was my grandfathers saw. The paint is literally falling off. Its not even flaking, just rubs right off. Runs good, although I think it is still a little rich at WOT.

Kevin, nice looking P60. Does it have the P60 ignition or something newer? What saw did you start with?

I'm working on building a Pioneer/Partner P42HP and after that I'm going to build up a P62W from new parts like I was planning a while back.

Keep up the good work, guys.
