I tested it with a 24, and it did very well. It will probably pull a 28, but why push it.Wow. Bet it pulls that little bar very well!

I hot rodded this one a little bit. I did a little bit to the upper transfers and exhaust. Also was able to delete the gasket. It's pretty nasty, and only has 2 tanks thru it. Compression was at 175 when I handed it over to my dad.
With out pulling panels, and giving it a quick whipe it looks good. Top cover had a crack and looks glued back together. So if anyone has a spare let me know, thx.
Yep cutting gaskets is a pita sometimes. I would remove the dust shields, it just makes more sense to me.Glass bead blasted a few things .I normally don't but I like the raw look on the 600. IMO cutting the gaskets is the worst part of any build.

Would it help the bearings to remove the inside dust seal? Thinkin lube would get in easier.

Lol yeah it was a real pleasure. The oil pump gasket is about the worst though. That Farmsaw case gasket looked like fun.
You might want to reuse that copper head gasket. Paper won't work as well
Walter you jogged the cobwebs in my mind with the copper gasket. I forgot I had this roll . It's .025 and even softer than the aluminum. Change of plans lol.
