Well, I thought better of the whole darn project. I decided to go with the landscape decorative bricks.

But, I did use the RR ties as an in-ground foundation in the back "40" of the yard. I did have to make 3 cuts.

Damn! Those were tough to cut. only took 3 full cuts to wipe out my chain. I spent 20 minutes just cleaning all the nasty smelling creosote out of the saw and bar. Won't do that again any time soon.
 
Now you have experience the joy of cutting rail road tie's. That's why you should use a company saw or like some on here pointed out borrow one:laugh:
