Ben,
That really sucks. sorry to hear it.
Hopefully the dolmar is fixable.

Hunter

Im going to the dealer tommorow to see what it will cost me to fix it. I have a feeling I better bring some KY. At least as of a few days ago I have a local guy selling Dolmars thats pretty good to deal with.
If its going to cost more than the saws worth I do not think i will be buying another Dolmar right now. I have a 372 that I was planning on selling so I will just use that as my main weapon now.

Hey Ben, look on the bright side of things. At least you don't have to buy any barnuts.
It's no biggy in the whole equation though, cause if we haven't driven over a saw or two then we haven't worked in the bush.

Dolmar - 0

If it makes ya feel any better, Greg had a little saw-snatcher whoop the pi$$ out of his brand new 3400 the other day.

Didn't get the before pic, but here's after the 'glass was roughed in.

It is sad to see you go through all the anticipation of getting this saw, and work through the problems and get it working good, and then to run it over. All the anticipation, joy and satisfaction gone in a flash.

I don`t think that we should feel too badly for Ben in regard to the 7900, because from what I understand, he had used it daily for 6 months to earn his living in the off season and he had planned to eBay it soon in favor of a new saw.

Now he will simply have to change his listing from "Excellent Condition, Like New!" to read something like this; "Shows scratches and wear consistant with normal use.". He might even try listing it as a Stihl 311Y to get more viewers.
