Sweet CT,

That one is on me bucket list. Them saws had a very long production run.
A classic every bit the equal of the Conta/Lightning/ 090.

I have both, and I prefer the CT. I can't imagine the sound and feel of a Solo Twin is any better than a CT either.

Sound from a Solo Twin is also great, like a race machine

Iff we talk about sound what about a Dolmar KMS4 wankel, that's a great sound.

But now Stihl saw can't beat the sound off a Dolmar CT ore 166.

Wonder where Jerry has been?

Oh well here's one that hasn't been in this thread, 120si with a wrap handle.
Got two mostly complete, with full wraps along with a bunch of other parts a few back.

Had enough parts to get this one running, the other is getting some special treatment (can you say 76cc)

Nice saw, the 120si is my favorite. I ported it and all that good stuff last year, it is my favorite firewood saw all around.

Does the Husky 445 have an unlimited coil or should I tune it with a tach? Also, what RPM should I set my Makita "8500" at with a HD air filter and a ported muffler? I just ordered the muffler and the tach. Should be here by the end of the week.

:feel_good:

Very nice, clean 133!

Thanks guys. I was pretty happy with how it came out. The only part I painted was the muffler, so you know it was a low hour saw. I still have to tighten up the chain brake as it goes on very easily, but it shouldnt be hard. Pulled a tick over 175 lbs compression and it feels like 300 when your pulling the cord.

My cousin has a 143 that is pretty used, but it is an awesome saw. This will be its older brother.

I need to find a bar for it soon because I really want to go cut something down with it:)

I have been out in the Black Rock Desert of Nevada for the last 3 weeks, no electricity or internet.

Hey sachsmo, is that a 112 muffler on your 120Si ?

Could be, I have several 112s in a box I have robbed parts from

It does have a 3/4" copper pipe elbow outlet and the baffles ground out.

How can you tell it's a 112 muff?

Yesterday i had my first of two demo's with the old Dolmars.

To bad not many visiters today, but weather ws great.
Also good to start the old 2 man CL again, 3-4 pull's and it runs after 1/2 year not running.
Make some cookies with the SD 166 and 153 and with the KMS4.
