Could be, I have several 112s in a box I have robbed parts from

It does have a 3/4" copper pipe elbow outlet and the baffles ground out.

How can you tell it's a 112 muff?

That muffler is not as tall (doesn't reach up to just under the top cover) like the muffler that is on my DCS6800i. It looks shorter like my 112 muffler.

I recently put a Stihl bar on my Dolmar CT. I had to open up the adjuster hole slightly. The back one works if you just drill it out a little bigger. (the one closer to the sprocket)

The oiler hole is too far forward IIRC, so I took a dremel tool with a grinder/cutoff wheel, and made a valley in the bar to connect the oiler output to the hole. You can use the bar plate to figure out where to make the valley. I did this on both sides, so now the bar can be flipped.

Low RPM

OK, I got tach to tune my Makita "8500". It has an HD filter and a ported muffler but i can only get about 12400 rpm at WOT. It has alot of power in the cut but I'm thinking it should spin up to around 13500, then it would cut much faster. I opened it up until it was smelling rich then leaned it up untill I got the highest RPM, again 12400. Is this all i can expect out of this saw? The BB kit is stock as far as i know.

Thanks in advance for the help.

Unless I am failing to remember correctly, you are dealing with a rev-limited coil.

Nmurph, are you out there?

Bar for my 133

Is a 30 inch bar on my 133 overly optimistic? I had an offer for one, but I know it's way more than I need. I thought why not.... But then thought about it being a bit much. Any input is welcome and very appreciated.

Also, I love fixing chainsaws... And I do it all the time, but I know little about larger chain/ bar sizes. So I need a 3/8 58 bar, right?

Thanks guys.

133 will enjoy pulling 30" bar. :msp_thumbup: If you don't need that much bar it may make the saw a bit nose heavy, but otherwise no problem. Not sure what the 58 is unless you mean .058 gauge in which case I'd stick with .050 gauge if possible. Much easier to acquire chain. I'm assuming your sprocket pitch is 3/8.

I know they have a limited coil but I thought the limiter doesn't kit in until 13500. I plan on removing the tabs from the adjustment screws and try again. Also, I am running 87 octane with 10% alcohol in right now, I can't get any 91 around here. Maybe next time I go to the city I will pick up a few gallons of 91 octane and see if that helps. I'm sure it will still have alcohol it it though.

The octane probably doesn't matter, just sucks that you have to run ethanol gas. Wow, no high octane gas around you? And I thought that I lived out in the boonies.

Definitely cut the trim tabs on the carb, but that won't make the saw run faster, if anything it will allow you to run the saw richer and slower.

OK,

who got the 152 on the bag?

It is not in the completed results, so someone must have "give them an offer they couldn't refuse" eh?

yup,

went for near 3 times what I would give.

Too bad, 3 more and I could do an 8 cylinder vid with SD 152/153s.

well,,,,,,,,,,

you suck!

just kiddin', I still like the vid of the 8 166s counting them off best.

YOU DA MAN!

133 value

So what do you guys think the 133 I have is worth as a power head ...Im a home dad and i buy and sell saws for grocery money and this one is really more saw that I need. The only issue it has is the chain break goes on too easily and it may be too nice for me to sell:)

I know the 143 is worth more, but in this condition, this has to be worth a bit.

I did buy a 27 inch older Stihl bar for it, but I can use it elsewhere.

A lot of a saws worth is about the physical condition it is in, can you post a few picts of it?
