Nothing wrong with being proud of a new saw.. but first make sure you have it in your hands and it is what you expected.

My Bad! I guess I must of bragged too soon. Got up this moring and the saw was gone. I never thought it would go for that much. :msp_angry:

A saw sells on Ebay in the last couple of seconds before bidding ends, most are sniped so you can never count your chickens before the egg hatches.

I agree with Pioneerguy600 but in this instance the saw was not sniped. The winning bid was made just before my last post in this thread on a saw I had been watching. I had actually bid higher than the ultimate winning bid. I wish I had known it was another members saw. I would have payed that much irrespective of the huge fees imposed by that bidding venue. I have been looking for a saw like this ever since I bought the 166 in my signature. Those large S&D's are awesome. I will have to sell my 6400 to recoup some of the cash I dropped for this auction. Now I just need to find an appropriate bar and chain to buy. I hope my wife doesn't see this thread.

In addition to that, there were 3 other bidders with the runner up only 10 dollars under the winning bid. Rude dog wasn't the sniper. The other guys were.

Wow,

A few months back a nice low use 152 brought nearly $1000 on the bag. Now this for a 133?

Guess I should spit shine a couple of mine and put them on the bag???????????????? Naw, ebag is rich enough.

Nice to see the old girls getting a little respect though.

Anyone interested in a mint NOS Sachs Dolmar Bars?

26 or 27" 404 big mount for the 143.152.153,166 saws it might be a 25", as there is a STihl 25" 404 bar for comparison

And two 15" 3/8 050 56DL bars for the little guys...

I bought this low hour 133 super from ebay about 2 years ago for $270. at the time I thought I might have paid too much...but not now

Yup,

got one nearly that minty a few back, even had a new 25" Stihl ES bar and new chain.

Paid right around $300 for it (shipped), and often questioned if that was too much?

Have since bought good runners 133/143 for as little as $100.

Big saws were never cheap, and those 133s run really strong.

Guess the days of picking up old SDs for a song is over:cry:

Yeah it's nice to see if you already have them....................not so great if you're looking to pick ones up for yourself. Not everybody has a hookup with a dealer friend that will basically give them a cherry SD133....:sucks:

Need some help with crank bearing replacement

Question for any of you guys that have replaced bearings before. I've got a little blue dolmar of my neighbor's I'm working on (DCS401) that had a bad crank seal and I decided to replace the crank bearings as well as the seals. I've got the new parts, and have the saw apart and cleaned up. I started on the flywheel side and removed the seal and snap ring, and am trying to determine if the bearing needs to go out a certain direction? It's in there pretty good and I think I may need to use a press to get it out. It looks like it can go either way, but I figured I better ask before I start pushing on it and do something stupid.

Hey SD guys.............this is page 116 of the SD thread. Post pics of your SD116's. The next several pages should have pics of the corresponding models...........all the way through 166 I'm guessing....:D
