Here is the 6000i I put a 120Si top end on. It runs real nice.

The muffler flew 12,000 miles to finish the saw off - thanks Mastermind.

Al.

I have been watching that auction since it popped up. Someone finally put a single bid on it! So whos on the forum with the ebay name of o***e??

It keeps me motivated about my dolmar 153 freebie sitting on the bench waiting for someone to let go of some parts!! HINT-HINT:msp_wink:

The "disguised" ebay name is just random letters I think. o***e could be anybody.

I may have some 153 parts after I am done building mine. What do you need? I'm sure I could research it, but I am too lazy.

Me thinks the "disguised" ID is the first and last letter of the bidders handle.

I would help the fella out, but it's hard to take parts off complete running saws.

I do wish him Luck in his Quest, you don't see them 153s everyday.

JP is correct ... the ID is 'masked' randomly/uniquely by each auction. What isn't masked is the bidder's feedback number. After the auction ends and feedback is left, you can somewhat accurately determine the buyer's eBay ID.

Hmmm,

every time I bid, and look at 'bid history" my bid comes up as the first and last letter in my "handle".

In an auction you are bidding on, you should see your entire ID and all the others should be masked. (I just thought of this) Unless, this is something that changed in their latest round of updates which happened a couple of weeks ago IIRC.

Correct.

I just looked at a bid whose handle I know and nothing in the bid designation was in common.

Not so,

I've checked auctions from the work computer, not logged in to my account.

The ones I've checked show my bidder ID as the first and last letter in my handle.

That is just my experience,

what do I know? Only have 100 or so auctions since '01

But I do know Sachs Dolmars (at least the big ones)

Ok sweet! I need the clutch assembly...i have the sproket already. I need the bar/clutch cover, automatic bar oiler, choke lever, bar studs

If you ever tire of searching for parts, I might be interested in giving the old girl a home.

Remember, no pics, it didn't happen.

Ha, that's all the parts I am short on too, lol. Missing clutch, broken dog mount on case, missing choke lever, missing clutch cover, missing spikes. Bar studs and oiler are probably OK.

Ebay has the clutch cover, but it is expensive. I think Bryce sells green Poulan 6000 ones. Those clutches are rare as hen's teeth.

I have a 152 coming in any day now. Once I get that and my 153 squared away, I will know exactly what I have.

Don't think clutches will interchange between 152/153.

The 152 has a bigger output side on the crank, at least for the drum needle bearing w/ spacer.

Have fun guys!

I am bidding on something right now on Ebay. My handle is jmueller57. I looked at the bid on a different computer, and it shows up as u***e

At least here it is random.

Wouldn't be the first time I was wrong.

Sure as hell won't be the last either:hmm3grin2orange:

Yes I have a 153, a parts 153, and a 152 coming. The parts 153 is missing a clutch. Don't know what the 152 needs yet.

Thanks for the info. Dolmar sure made it difficult with clutches on these saws. I know the 166 is different, and the 143 is different as well. Geez!!

Here's a clean 133, just needs a little detailing, been sitting for a bit.
