Finally got a laser sight for the Ruger 10/22. It's a laser Max and it slides right on after you remove the barrel strap. They claim it is sighted in already for 25 yards. aai took out a empty cat food can and shouldered but did not use the "GI sight" and I hit it just fine. We get night visitors to the chicken coops so a laser sight is great, might even add a side light on the rail. I did have to remove the front sight to get it on. My other rifle with a laser sight is my SKS, just a little bit of over kill for a fox and even with people over a 1/4 mile away don't need to wake them up.

Sweet.
I have them on my night AR and pistol, work great.

Did a little saw therapy this evening. Had a broken hickory branch hanging over the driveway since one of the ice storms late this winter. I think the garbage truck may have bumped it on Friday morning (or it was just time to come down since there was no wind.) Anyway, it was now on the driveway so it had to be moved. Not a large stack, but it will make a nice night or two of the good stuff. 20230507_200019.jpg

I was pretty sore after changing the plugs on the excursion, therefor I earned some screen time ;).
When I bucked up some of the cherry I had in the trailer Friday I notices that a few of the sticks had branches that were leaving out, I cut that load on February 4th . Pretty amazing, that tree was working on what it needed this spring back then. Trees ain't slackers .

I did a little on the pond/dam yesterday after rototilling at my BIL's. I did more than what the pics show because we had a little rain so it packed it down a little.

Here's a good comparison of what we see from the back windows, in the near yrs we should have a water view and not just sand/dirt lol.
Oh yeah, there's the too be split pile off to the right, it's grown too :).

Looking at this last picture reminds me I need to go mow the grass :baba:, at least I get to run some equipment :). It's a lot greener here now.

So, when do you put up the camo net for the next camera overflight?
🤣

Hey boys, had a relatively relaxing evening at work. Everything decided to run decent for a change. Ran our arses off Friday and Saturday night, only thing that really sucks about this time of year is we're closed tomorrow, so I gotta be back in at 6am....
Anyway, hoping we keep in some good weather so I can finish bucking and splitting the dang log pile after work this week. Wife is already saying if the weather is nice we need to run down to her grandmother's house this weekend. Hoping to do her honey do list in one day, but it sounds like it's going to be an all weekend affair... not what I wanted, but thats married life I guess lol. Thinking of that...
@JustJeff congrats on 30 years. Wife and I are together 13 in June and married 8 in August. So about 1/3 of the way there. Hopefully one day I can be saying we're going off into the sunset to enjoy our 30th anniversary too.

I've been busting my behind trying to get the honey do list caught up and I got 12 pages behind! Married 30 years this year so we're taking a vacation to Greece, flying out this evening. Not even going to try and keep up so keep on scrounging!
As an afterthought, the Carolina squat could be handy unloading those big rounds....

Well you'd better put the hard yards in when you get back because there's going to be some hardcore scrounge pics!

(It's just me, everyone else is posting other stuff  )

Also, congratulations! We ticked over 20 years last year, only felt like 19!
