We had a light drizzle all day yesterday, first rain since I seeded a couple weeks ago :nofunny:. Although having heavy rain like that would have washed all my seed away. Not sure which would be worse, as my seed looks pretty bad, not sure much of it will sprout. Oh well, at least the grading looks good lol.
When do you cut with them .

Some of us see the sun all day as we are retired from the daily BS.

Raining here for the next couple of days. Figures just as I started to make my woodpile bigger yesterday. I was down to about 2 or 3 cords of wood. In picture #1 the only split wood left was the pile to the left side. Yesterday it got a bit bigger.

Yea Steve, feel like Iā€™m living in the Amazon rain forest, itā€™s been unreal the past few months,
I saw on the weather this morning you guys were getting hammered. We're stihl at close to a 5" deficit for rain this year. I'm probably only 300 miles or so SW of you.

When I built my house, I put a curtain drain around the property to keep it dry. Then I purchased the lot in back of me at a tax sale (non-buildable). I extended the curtain drain halfway up that property.

Yesterday, when I crossed the curtain drain with my zero-turn mower, the wheels were making mud slots in the grass.

The curtain drain is 3' deep with weed guard, with a 4" perforated pipe surrounded by gravel and topped with a bluestone (harvested from scrap from my upstate property) walkway.

Rain predicted all day here again! Guess it is better than drought!

When I was at my upstate property on the 23/24th, I dug some drainage troughs for some of the larger puddles on my logging roads (originally made by skidders and/or bulldozers from the bluestone quarry). Almost hard to remember how dry it was up there in the early spring this year ... almost all the puddles were dry, very unusual.

hi chipper - thanks for sharing ur opinions on my chain! i had not really thot too much about it, since filing it brought it back into cutting service! but, makes sense to just get a new one. will get 2 actually. 2 dif profiles. spent some :drinkingcoffee: time this morning with C/S dept at Oregon Products. that was helpful... such as 2 chains, dif part #s and just what do one's letters mean vs another, etc.

ps: new purge bulbs on the way, too! šŸ˜‹
( u know i am not going to trash it... lol )
