Have you or your friend had issues with the rear pto clutch? One of my friends has one of those mid sized cub cadets. The rear pto clutch went out on it and he's said it's no longer available and a known issue. it's electronically actuated and the coil burns out. (Or something like that, I'm not 100% sure.) He bought a used one and it didn't last real long. He got another tractor and just uses his as a loader tractor now. It's a shame, it's a good little tractor.
Mine had 3300 hours on it when I sold it. I never had an issue with the rear pto. I ran a 7 foot Landpride finish mower off of it.

Price check on a 49 Farmall Cub. It runs moves and stops. The hydraulic lift works for the sickle bar mower. My elderly neighbor wants to move it out. He no longer uses it. The gas tank is not rusted up. I got it running today and took it out for a spin around his property.

I'm running my first marathon on Sunday - the Western Sydney marathon. Starting to get a bit apprehensive about it but at least the weather looks ok. 9°C - 23°C or 49F - 73F but with a 7am start I should be about done by the time it gets to 20°. Glad it wasn't today, it was 37°C/99°F :crazy2:
Best of luck with it. I never did choose to compete at that distance (did 5K, 5Mile and 10K).

Something about the original guy who did it not faring too well!

Be careful, hydrate, and pace yourself. It is long enough to hurt you if you do it wrong!

I have an ancient 1/2" " drill motor" with spots in the case to thread in pieces of pipe so you at least stand a chance of keeping control of it. All silver metal case. No plastic. Geared low and it doesn't even notice when I stick it in a bucket of drywall mud to stir it!! I think you could drill post holes with that thing!
No reverse?? Sounds like the one I inherited from my moms dad

A couple loads this morning, one this afternoon, and splitting until dark. And some of the wood is close enough to the stacks that I don't even use the wheelbarrow. The pile of splitter trash in the background was from the pile I split in the afternoon. (Had to take a pic with the flash so I didn't make @Cowboy254 sad again with no pics.)

I'm pretty sure I haven't posted this here before. This is a video of my firewood processing setup, felling a tree, and running the chipper.

Before anybody "goes there" (LOL) I know that the rope on the tree that I was dropping was too low, and should have been higher to get better leverage with the tractor when pulling it over. But I didn't need much leverage as the tree was pretty much straight up and down, and I was just practicing using the tractor to pull over trees, for when I cut a tree down at my other house that's leaning over a corner of the house. It will be done correctly when I cut that one down. I'll video it as well.

Anyway, if anybody is interested, here's how I'm processing firewood at this point.

So, since I’m not as frequent a visitor as I once was, I forgot the names of the frequent guys

But I bet, the fella with all the wheelbarrow pics, he got forearms like Popeye and a damn kung-fo grip
Some just refer to H R as the legend!!

I bought my Kioti RX 7320 (73HP) after doing quite a bit of research. The first factor in buying it was price, and I make no secret about that. It's Kubota counterpart is about 20K more for the same options/features. And the Deere 5075R was/is close to 30K more for the same equipment if I remember correctly.

That being said, when watching YouTube videos of a LOT of firewood guys, and what kind of tractors they had, I noticed that a whole lot of them had Kioti's. I'm guessing that a lot of them bought theirs for the same primary reason that I bought mine, price. But the Kioti sure has some outstanding specs compared to both Kubota and Deere. More lift capacity out front as well as at the 3pt, standard self-leveling loader, power sync shuttle trans, standard rear SCV (only one standard, but I don't remember for sure, Kubota didn't come with ANY standard?), and the cost of adding additional rear SCV's on the Deere like I did on mine was VERY expensive.

As for reliability, well that remains to be seen as I only have 40 something hours on mine at this point. I'm hoping that it proves to be reliable over time, but we'll see. I haven't seen a lot of terrible long-term reviews on their reliability from anybody, which was another reason I went the direction that I did though.
We got a dealer for them in town not too long ago. Don't know much about them. Tym tractors showed up at another dealer when they got rid of cub cadet/yanmar.
As afar as rear remotes, most dealers around here order larger tractors with at least 2 on them. There's a pretty strong farming presence here though and idk anyone that wants any less then 2 and most seem to prefer 3 rear remotes.

Ha! You guys would be surprised. Mostly, it's a matter of desire, not physical size, that drives me to accomplish things. I sometimes tell others, "Don't motivate me!" when they are being uncooperative; meaning that I will dedicate the effort to do what it takes to make it not worth it to do things their way. You may liken it to an old saying about it's not the size of the dog in the fight, but the size of the fight in the dog.

I figure if you can't figure out a flippy cap, maybe you shouldn't be running a chainsaw.... it's my theory that the Stihl engineers made it sufficiently particular so operators would pay attention to what they're doing. It's what separates us from the mouth breathers. Full disclosure, I've improperly installed a Stihl flippy cap! 😂
Stihl saws like to break the new owners in by giving them a lube and gas job at least once.

Three rear remotes would be nice if you had a place to put the 3rd control lever. Kioti only has 2 places for levers unless you buy a cab on it. The cabs have room for 3 levers.

My 7275 was made by Mitsubishi. I'm surprised that the pto clutch is no longer available.

Morning calisthenics! C'mon guys, try to keep up! ;)
I've been milling White Oak but have not yet posted all the pics. I respect the wheelbarrow work (and I've done a lot of it in the past) but milling logs in awkward positions because you are positioning them w/o any heavy equipment is punishing on an older body!

Hope to conclude the milling this morning and start using my circular saw to convert them to useable boards. Some will not be perfectly straight, as the logs were not straight enough for the lengths I needed, but they are white oak and they will work!

Making a free standing 4 leg hunting stand with it (10' at the platform). Need to get it done for this WE, and rain is predicted later in the week. Gotta go!
