So I went out and looked, it is a weld-pak 155, the manual from Lincoln was from 2010.
I'll obviously need to order the instructional "video".

Bummer it's missing the side panel, it has specs/welder settings on it. It also looks to be missing the pieces to hold the wire spool in place(wing nut and holder). The good thing is it has the mig option which is the gas hookup and gas gun/wire. There are 3 smaller spools of shielded wire(flux-core), .025, .030, and .035. In the manual it says it was set up for .035 from the factory and to run smaller diameter you need to have different tips and the feed roll can be flipped to push the smaller wire and there is a fine adjustment there.
Some of the basic specs.

Good little welders for light duty stuff. If you got thick stuff to weld nothing beats a lincoln stick welder.

A good weld prep with a grinder and those little welders will work mint with gasless flux cored. For fixing and building projects that's all you need. I'm definitely not a welder snob. All I have at home is an old Lincoln tombstone ac/dc stick machine. And I weld for a living. I do enough at work so it's not my hobby. That's why I enjoy the firewood so much.

I thought he wanted to shake hands and was looking to get adopted! Guess I've spent too much time at the dog shelters!

I think I figured out why he was there for so long ... not far from where I gutted the bear!
bunch a dogs scrounged up down here. 47! were living in an RV! off to Rescue once they recover from all their neglect, etc. most were hungry!! lol

I'm not a good welder my grandpa was but not me. Brazing with a coat hanger is more my style  :chop:

Hey ... I don't weld ... but guilty on the rest of it! Was just running my 10mm 044 the last couple of days. No port work to it, but all the rest of those mods! It felt great and had beaten fully ported saws!
do you think there is any advantage of the 10 mm and 12mm 044s?

Most of the firewood in my stacks has been split with the Fiskars (or noodled.) But I have some difficult rounds that have been here awhile and some more recent twisted box elder and knotty pine. In my efforts to get the yard cleaned up after the hiatus with my knee issues, I thought this Craigslist splitter was the way to go. I fully expect to continue doing the "easy" rounds by hand.
me, too! i am all for the easy stuff.... lol 👍

i gear-oil the wedge and v-wood for tuff spliters. always the I-beam. always 'pops' !

Long time lurker here, I was able to grab some logs at the neighbors property. Here is a picture of the biggest log I grabbed with my tractor. I could lift it but could not curl it. I carried this back to View attachment 1118139my place about a 1/2 mile. I made 6 trips I have been grabbing some big logs that were piled up om the side of the road and still have a pile to cut up. I am wanting to figure a way to bring my saw with me because I can't secure it. I am hoping someone can point me in a good direction to accomplish this. I see that there are saw scabbards but think the loader frame is too wide to fit one. Thanks for looking. Dave
a 3-pt holder would be ez to fab up! ~

.
I did notice the one on the left is a 170, though that was funny after hearing it was the ms170 of the welders lol.
I just need a box, a fitting and an outlet and a short piece of wiren then I can try to fire them up.
I'll check it out a bit more when I'm out there later. A buddy stopped by yesterday (the guy who took the firewood I bucked up) and he was looking at them and said that there was a couple different sizes of wire, .025 and .035 iirc. He has a nice newer Miller tig setup, when I get the barn done up and a welding/fab area he may bring it over as he doesn't have a garage/ barn, he does a shop in his basement and doesn't like to do much welding in there. Before I can get the area done I want for welding I'll need 70-80' of wire to run the outlet onto the other side of the barn. I wanted to do that under the concrete in conduit, but ran out of time to install the conduit before the pour. I'm not going to run it in the gable end wall for the same reason I didn't put the electric service in that wall and I routed the underground service wire around to the front. Because barns only come in one size, and I may need to add 16' onto that end some day :).
Only pic I have right now, I posted this one earlier.
It looks like it says 30-155, and I see a 5 at the end of the number where the cord is?

It may be a Lincoln 155.

Put the saw on your floor inside the cab. I do that all the time with my Kioti NX4510hst.

You would be surprised at what these small welders can weld up. Using multiple passes I have welded up one inch square stock onto 1/2" plate to build a tooth bar for my previous Cub Cadet tractor.

damn! 👍 all i did was weed a garden plot and plant my okra sets (from seed) and drink a MIller......

.oh, and i had a nice campfire all afternoon, too! filled my corner of neighborhoos with a nice aroma of oak smoke! 👍 by time i head in for dinner, i had some nice camp cooking coals... oak. for me, getting the firewood, while fun usually, is the necessary evil! lol... no wood, no fire!
