The platform is 5' X 5'. I intend it to be for one or two people, but I'm sure more could fit.
That's pretty big, more than 2 may not be as comfortable as just 2, but I'm sure it could work if needed. My buddy is pretty stoked to have the one he got, it really opens up the options where he hunts, as many of the border trees aren't in the best spots or they just don't have good shooting lanes. His boy already got a nice buck this fall, nice one too.
When I was driving this week I saw a deer carcass out in a field, there was a crow on it's back, the rack looked like it had at least a 20" spread. I was at least a hundred yards away, and could see the rack was up above the carcass quite a bit. I bet someone is wondering where that big boy disappeared to.
That coyote on your trail cam looked like it was watching something in a tree. When I see horses looking at something, I look where they are and I often see deer or yotes.

I didn't realize you had to be admitted? and they drugged you too? the bib must mean they are about to feed you I assume. good luck in there buddy and remember, the bars are on the widows are for your safety AND ours. keep the chainsaw vroom vroom noises to a minimum if you want out soon .
Yeah, but I managed to escape .
They did feed me, but it wasn't that good, and it made my mouth go numb. It actually is still pretty sore, but hopefully tomorrow it will feel better.
I got put in YouTube jail a few yrs ago for chainsaw noises, there were actually a bunch of us who did, some didn't get their channels back. My theory is their new AI thought the saws sounded like screams .
I made some chainsaw noises when I managed to break out, maybe even when I was breaking out:chainsaw:.
Started with this.

Ended up with a trailer load of rounds for my buddy. And a spot that I can put a bunch more wood, there's still quite a bit at the neighbors, I'll probably grab some up tomorrow if the weather allows.

Had the load balanced quite nicely, hardly squared my buddies suburban, being an HD2500 helps I guess.

Found this guy in the debris :).

Also cleaned out the bonfire pit, re-graded the area, then replaced about half the rocks(a bunch were cracked. I hauled 9 loads of ash out of the bonfire pit, I just cleaned it out, dang tornados sure make a lot of ash lol.

Yep, little homeowner welder will weld your projects just fine. Same as a wild thing will cut your firewood! Lol. Buncha guys running souped up muffler modded, base gasket deleted, timing advanced, ported pro saws with custom chains on premium bars. Going to weld up their wood getters with a buzzbox. 😂

Yanmar has been in business a long time, and they've had a large presence in the states for many, many years. I've worked on a lot of Jap Industrial engines over the years and they're all damn good, and it sounds like the South Korean made stuff is just as reliable. Nothing says we couldn't design and build our own, I guess nobody wants to compete with them.
Unions killed those jobs here. The cost of doing business is why they are gone. Investors want more payback.

Looking at the picture on the case, it seems as if it's only good on those fancy ES bars ;).

Speaking of deal, are these little welders any good. There's a couple spools of wire for each one, an extra gun for the Lincoln(unfortunately no tank), helmets, and more clamps than what's in the pictures too(some are under the welders and there appears to be a couple boxes of new ones also). Not sure if there's a cover for the side of the Lincoln, but I'm sure if they work I could make one :).
Any thoughts, I know there has to be some opinions lol.

I have 2 small Lincoln mig welders. one is a 100 amp 110volt. The other is a 175 amp Plus 220 volt setup with gas.

I thought he wanted to shake hands and was looking to get adopted! Guess I've spent too much time at the dog shelters!

I think I figured out why he was there for so long ... not far from where I gutted the bear!

So I should get them ported?
You know how much the good ones cost :envy::envy::envy::envy:, and then I'd only be using one or two settings lol. I've ran a good amount of nicer millers and Lincolns, but not much else, if I can get one of these to do a fair job on 3/16-1/4, I will probably wait a bit for a nice one.

The Lincoln has a hose on it for gas, and the Chicago has the port. There is an assortment of wire, some is flux core and some is for use with gas. Both are 220, not sure on the amps.

Every time I see one on the side of the road, I think, good doggie lol.
That makes sense, for some reason I thought it was just standing there in that one position.

The Lincoln will say on the front cover. It is probably a 175. Post a picture of the front panel.

Hey ... I don't weld ... but guilty on the rest of it! Was just running my 10mm 044 the last couple of days. No port work to it, but all the rest of those mods! It felt great and had beaten fully ported saws!

I thought you split all your firewood by hand?
Most of the firewood in my stacks has been split with the Fiskars (or noodled.) But I have some difficult rounds that have been here awhile and some more recent twisted box elder and knotty pine. In my efforts to get the yard cleaned up after the hiatus with my knee issues, I thought this Craigslist splitter was the way to go. I fully expect to continue doing the "easy" rounds by hand.

My hat's off to you! I just cringe and my shoulders ache just thinking about doing all that by hand. Good health.

.
I did notice the one on the left is a 170, though that was funny after hearing it was the ms170 of the welders lol.
I just need a box, a fitting and an outlet and a short piece of wiren then I can try to fire them up.
I'll check it out a bit more when I'm out there later. A buddy stopped by yesterday (the guy who took the firewood I bucked up) and he was looking at them and said that there was a couple different sizes of wire, .025 and .035 iirc. He has a nice newer Miller tig setup, when I get the barn done up and a welding/fab area he may bring it over as he doesn't have a garage/ barn, he does a shop in his basement and doesn't like to do much welding in there. Before I can get the area done I want for welding I'll need 70-80' of wire to run the outlet onto the other side of the barn. I wanted to do that under the concrete in conduit, but ran out of time to install the conduit before the pour. I'm not going to run it in the gable end wall for the same reason I didn't put the electric service in that wall and I routed the underground service wire around to the front. Because barns only come in one size, and I may need to add 16' onto that end some day :).
Only pic I have right now, I posted this one earlier.
It looks like it says 30-155, and I see a 5 at the end of the number where the cord is?

Long time lurker here, I was able to grab some logs at the neighbors property. Here is a picture of the biggest log I grabbed with my tractor. I could lift it but could not curl it. I carried this back to IMG20231006114046.jpgmy place about a 1/2 mile. I made 6 trips I have been grabbing some big logs that were piled up om the side of the road and still have a pile to cut up. I am wanting to figure a way to bring my saw with me because I can't secure it. I am hoping someone can point me in a good direction to accomplish this. I see that there are saw scabbards but think the loader frame is too wide to fit one. Thanks for looking. Dave

Sounds like you need a partner. Someone that can haul the saw and help. :drinkingcoffee:
