Looks like a MS-460 got the call!Had to do some noodleing the oak was to heavy to put on the splitter lift
I don't think there were any more kettles in there; maybe some industrial cast iron scrap is what you're seeing. There are a couple of teapots if that interests you.OMG! I wish I had a scrap yard like that around me. Then again, I'd be collecting more stuff than I could use. Go back and grab me the largest kettle pictured and send it to me .
The round bottom cauldron type. Years ago, some idiot in St Louis put a curb alert on CL for one of those large 20-30 gal cauldron and a 10 gallon one for Free. I'm looking for something in a 10 gal size (cheap). Well, I'm 40 miles away from this guy and by the time I got there, it would have been gone.I don't think there were any more kettles in there; maybe some industrial cast iron scrap is what you're seeing. Looks great! Love your dishes you post. Well, I just had my weekly fried fresh fish, okra, tomato, onion and libation done in cast iron. Now time for a little rye.Cast iron cooked deep dish. Homemade sauce, onions, green pepper, hamburger, pepperoni, canadian bacon and 5 kinds of cheese.

Sounds like y'all ran I-90. Probably hit Buffalo to see the Bighorns. Lived in Buffalo for several years in the late '70s, beautiful country, miss it a lot.I meant what town or part of the Rockies?
The first time my Dad, Mom and I took a road trip out west, we ran into the Big Horn Mts like in your picture. Being flatlanders, we were totally amazed at them. Then we got to Glacier and WOW!
I haven't heard anything... didn't go looking either as I've been swamped! Have to see if the village has meeting videos on-line...I was unable to attend as I'm feeling a bit under the weather. Any idea how it went?
The proposed zoning changes are at https://www.ci.carmel.ny.us/system/files/uploads/townofcarmel.zoningdraft.pdf I pulled out the gun club related section... attached.I was unable to attend as I'm feeling a bit under the weather. Any idea how it went?
Maybe the Supreme Court will make a positive decision for ranges with the case from MI.I TR

My take on it is that the requirements for new clubs are designed to make it impossible to satisfy Carmel... effectively banning new clubs in Carmel. For example:
"In addition to the authority vested in the Planning Board to impose reasonable conditions and safeguards on special use permits, the Planning Board shall impose such conditions and safeguards on the operation of the rod and gun club which, in its discretion, may be necessary to mitigate such problems as noise, public safety and diminution of property values."
This without specifying how any of that is to be measured and what triggers the action.
Kingston did that with new regulations on indoor shooting ranges... Which to me was done illegally because it was done while a new range was in the approval process! It was a targeted action (no pun intended) that affected only one business. The objections by the politicians boiled down to bigotry... The principals took it into a nearby town that welcomed them with open arms (again, no pun intended---or maybe so ).
C'mon man, these women need to be more encouraging lol.I was by myself, my wife refused to partake and watched instead lol
Do you even cut wood anymore, or just cook in cast. If i was eating all the good looking grub you cook up, the only thing I'd be splitting is my pants .Cast iron cooked deep dish. Homemade sauce, onions, green pepper, hamburger, pepperoni, canadian bacon and 5 kinds of cheese.

Morning men. Yes it is amazing how much split firewood comes from big rounds. Did some noodling with my homey 925 the other day. It handles it quite well.I was surprised it wasn't the 7900.
Miss mine, after saying that I'm probably going to have to look at pictures of it now .
Those big rounds take a good bit of time, but they sure produce a lot of splits.
I’ve done the same from Illinois a couple times. Rode to and all around Alaska in 2013. Made the arctic circle, top of the world hiway Dawson city and a lo more. It was a great tripDid cross country in 2017 on motorcycles was a very interesting experience. Plan on doing it again View attachment 1206032View attachment 1206033View attachment 1206034View attachment 1206035
I've got a ported 460 done by Doc Al that runs very strong (046-D cylinder w/bridge ports). Does not get as much use as it should since he subsequently did a Hybrid for me that runs just as strong and is lighter (also has a 046-D jug).Yup . I heard the club members were pleased with the outcome, as there was agreement to exclude the existing clubs from the new regulations (which was their concern). The proposed zoning changes are at https://www.ci.carmel.ny.us/system/files/uploads/townofcarmel.zoningdraft.pdf I pulled out the gun club related section... attached.
